LOL...the show has the exact opposit effect on me. I use the show to make me not feel guilty about the 4 boxes of kids stuff I've been meaning to consign for the past two years. Now I can tell myself, "So what if I trip over them every single morning, the rest of my house is livable, and no where near as bad as THAT!"

I've been wanting to have a yard sale since we moved into a smaller house two years ago :( still I haven't motivated myself. Its too hot or raining or wow its a perfect day this Saturday, Why waste it on work? Goodwill will be seeing me every week for a while too! Thanks for the inspiration!

i have a friend from pakistan that summed it up so well.
"i'll never understand how you Americans have $150 worth of stuff in your garages and leave your $40,000 vehicles in your driveways."
guilty.
having a yard sale in two weeks. if i didn't need to raise money for a cause i would be at knoxville area rescue ministries with my truckloads in a donation-minute.
i hope i survive the experience.
I live in a 2 bedroom condo with attached garage that gets our overflow. With 2 kids, one dog and 3 cats we have to keep a really organized home or I'd probably lose it! But I never go into the garage because it's a scary overflow of boxes. Earlier this year I realized we had been hoarding old bills from 7 years back! While it's amusing to see the cost of goods on old bank statements it's completely unnecessary so we dumped 3 file boxes.

I saw one episode a couple of years ago - that was enough, LOL. Sometime between June and September next year I intend to buy a condo, so I started decluttering several months ago. Geez, I live alone and have limited storage, but there's a lot of stuff here that other people would be blessed to have. Going to Goodwill twice a month (taking them the extra fall decorations tomorrow) for the next year...

The feeling is the main thing, of course!
I think I would leave the vidoe scar deeply buried beneath all that fierceness!!

Hey-nothing wrong with a mom wearing a shirt and no pants. My cowboy loves when I do that :)
I love it--I think we women need to focus more on how we feel than how we perceive ourselves. We are our own worst critic. I thought you strutted fabulously!

Mandy, the husband don't lie. And uh, neither do my hips. ;)
Whaaa? I watched that video and thought you totally rocked it!!! Seriously. I was proud.
Impressive that you were brave enough to do that. I couldn't do that in a million years. I haven't seen the video, but I'm sure you looked great. We're always so much harder on ourselves than we deserve.

I give you a ton of credit for even doing this in the first place! :) I love reading just about anything you write. Thanks for sharing the glamorous AND the not-so-glamorous moments with us. So endearing.

Where is the link to the video? I can't find it! I think you are awesome for doing this for such a great cause. I, for one, would have fallen flat on my face and had a look of sheer terror.

Why can I not find the whole video anywhere. Someone please help a girl out!
Why is that we are always our toughest critic?! I'm by no means a fashion expert, but I thought you looked FABULOUS(I mean, who wouldn't want to show off their legs if they looked like yours. lol), as did all the other mommy bloggers. Not to mention...you got to meet KELLY RIPA!
Oh, Lexiloo, I didn't even hear that! OMG! The nightmare continues! ;D
Re: “The Hoarders Method of Housekeeping”
HAHA!! I love how they put the OCD Project right before or after Hoarders a lot of times. Totally balances me out.
