I am a beginner and would like to know if you could help me get the guitar tabs for any of the song from Green Day album which will also be easily learn-able to play in my guitar lessons...Awaiting your response...thanks. I learnt few lessons at:

Thanks!
I'm reading this article really, really, really slowly (a little piece at a time) so I can take it all in and remember what all you've got in this article Mr. Hurt. There is so much great information I didn't know about in your article. I love the quote, "Yeah, you don't have to be that smart to write a hit song". That's very encouraging since I keep thinking songwriting is my new part-time hobby but I don't know for sure if I can ever get anything accomplished with such a hobby. I'm glad I have a ticket for the concert since the more I read your article, the more I realize what an extra special event the tribute for Cowboy Jack Clement is going to be. Thanks Edd Hurt.
Great article. Yes, it's hard to imagine a world without Cowboy Jack.
Dang, this is a long article and I can't read it all right now but I'll "get er done" or rather get it all read before I go to the "Honoring A Legend" concert = A Tribute to Cowboy Jack Clement at the War Memorial Auditorium on Jan 30th at 7PM. I read an article on www.musicrow.com that Kris Kristofferson is going to be one of the performers. The first time I saw KK was when I won tickets from WSM Radio for the Johnny Cash memorial service at the Ryman. Kris Kristofferson was there and sang the song "Sunday Morning Coming Down" that Johnny Cash recorded and made famous. I'll be seeing KK for a second time and if he sings this song again I'm going to sing along, dang it. I like the lyrics about feeling like getting stoned. I haven't done that since I went in the army 31 years ago and over 6 years of service would have to endure the random piss tests for drugs. I discovered I like myself better not doing that to myself and I don't have a desire to do that to myself ever again. If I wanted to I know I can legally smoke pot in Colorado or Washington state now....but really why would I? It's a crazy state law since it is still illegal by federal law and that shit is just as bad if not worse for your lungs as cigarettes in my opinion (don't know the medical facts). Guess I'm just getting old and want to see our youth doing smarter things with their time and money. Looking back I can say that recreational activity was a waste of time and money and all the people that I was around doing the same recreational activity with turned out not to be true friends. So I would just like to sing the words to the song "Sunday Morning Coming Down" with Kris Kristofferson if he performs that song at the Cowboy Jack Clement Tribute in a few more days. That would be satisfaction enough for me and as close to singing a song Johnny Cash cut since I didn't get to Nashville in time to see Johnny Cash performing in person. There's a great line-up for the show and it's going to be a night of "live" music appreciation and a "live" music history lesson. Edd Hurt I hope you make it to the show and write about it and bring along a photographer to take pictures for the online Nashville Scene/Cream.
@Remington 870: Good point, just a small correction - banning and confiscation of firearms (handguns) in UK has NOT reduced gun violence. In fact, the gun violence has increased: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12…
I hate your articles and this b.s. website/magazine all you do is talk shit about nashville and the artists/bands who live here, go fuck pujol in the butt.. which is one exception, or write a positive article for once. And stop with the ten bands to watch, your wrong the majority of the time.
this is one of the most craziest stories ive read in a while...i must say i think a stripper should be able to do her/his job if they are going to allow a prostitution club...idk this is crazy...shoot its better for them to give a harmless lap dance then go to the other club and catch an std or even worse aids just my opinion though i think the law is stupid
He immigrated from Germany and lived all over the U.S. This mans story has very little to do with Music Row or Nashville other than him living here for a short while.
The more things change the more they stay the same. "Is It Country Enough???" has been a refrain for about as long as country music has been around. Remember, the Opry used to have a ban on electric "amplified" guitars. And it's all subjective anyway. Musicologist types can dissect the sound all they want, but what it really boils down to is what the record buying public likes and is willing to pay money form. Yeah, it's sad sometimes - I personally think Taylor Swift is a mediocre singer at best. But it's the reality of the marketplace. People like what they like - and that's what drives the market.
So, how many hit songs have you written lately? Seriously, this is so incredibly lame. Does this kind of thing keep you awake at night?
I listened to Iris DeMent's Sing the Delta and Kellie Pickler's 100 Proof, and Kellie's album and vocals are much better! She should be tied with Miranda for #1 Female Vocalist!
Davis is a fraud. Just a very slick one. Do a little bit of research into the church's finances and the relationships with some of his senior pa$tor$ it becomes quite clear.
I'm alarmed at how many people are concerned with the value of Pastor Davis's house! Jealousy? He shouldn't feel guilty about that! And the Bible tells us we have to forgive in order to be forgiven. Pastor Davis has to live with what he did, and for me, that would not be easy. I wouldn't want to bring up the whole story. I sure wouldn't want to hear him tell the whole story. It would be too painful for most people. Let him be.
The commentary refers to rankings beyond those you've put up here (such as reissues past #10).
Any reason they can't be put up here? Run outta bandwidth?
Great Job, Randy Patterson. Very Interesting!!!!!
The reduction of firearms in Great Britiam and Australia has reduced gun violence but in the same time frame has increased muggings, knifings, home invasions ect. Lawful citizens in those countries are fearful to go out at night so stay behind locked doors and this does not keep them safe when a criminal breaks into there homes to steal. I also understand that Bobies are now carrying firearms since the criminal element is becoming more brazen do to disarmed citizens. Do you really want to experience a home invasion with nothing to fightback with? Especially when the police are minutes away and a response is required in seconds! If someone breaks into my home they will have two choices either surrender or get blown in half with a 12ga shotgun.
A former US Attorney General has stated that if Obama goes too far with restricting Second Amendments rights he could be impeached. The NRA should check into this and force the issue if Obama becomes too extreme with his Executive Orders.
I am a,Bible reading, Christian. I know you must forgive, to be forgiven. I forgive Maury Davis. But, Maury should have met God,in 1976, after a strong volt of electricity surged through his shaven head and out his feet! His baggage is not nearly as heavy as the family of that poor woman he viciously slaughtered. A true man of God in his situation, would sell everything he has and give it to the family he has tormented since 1975.
Thank you.
This once again reinforces my desire to grow old performing Shakespeare.
