Re: “For a teen’s impulsive, unthinkable act, Cyntoia Brown got an adult’s life sentence. Was justice served?

She is innocent because she was only 16. She lives a disadvantaged childhood, being abused by nearly everybody she gained trust with. This young girl was protecting herself from getting killed first. Yes she was on drugs when she made her statements to the police. It is unfair and against womans rights!!! I wish there was something more all her supporters can do to at least get her out at a reasonable age. So she can start a new life. How many 16 yr olds screw up?? All 16 yr olds screw up. But not all are abused and neglected as children either. She is not a cold blooded murder, it was being in the wrong place at the wrong time. And having no good role models around her through her up bringing is a sad reality of what can happen when your treated like a piece of shit your whole life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Re: “A Nashville woman battles a three-year legal ordeal — on charges of neglecting a child she didn't know

This is a good article.

I can see why people don't always trust the police or the system.

I'm sure there is another side to the story, but Barnett's involvement is so incidental and by happenstance that I'm not sure what other considerations could make me think she is at all responsible.

Re: “David Olney is still a contender. Can you say the same?

I really like the cool David Olney cover the art director, Elizabeth Jones, designed from Eric England's always intriguing photography. I'm wondering if her double-image with the guitar necks connecting was intentionally done to make it look like David Olney is a "Contender" in the ring?? If so, she is a genius!

This is a wonderful story about a remarkable artist. It is great to see David get the recognition that he deserves as a writer and performer. His work is always thrilling and the article captures his breadth. Thanks Skip

One name I would add to those mentioned toward the beginning of this article, all of whom I really appreciate, is Lucinda Williams. She just keeps the songs coming and has now for 30+ years.
