They've actually performed in the Middle East (including Saudi Arabia). And they got a lot of laughs. And they were born in New Jersey. I know that seems like another country to most, but it's still in the U.S.

Anybody who thinks coming to this country illegaly is not a federal offense is ignorant of the law. It is illegal for me to rob a bank, but if I do I doubt there are any organizations who are going to say it was ok for me to do so because I needed the money. Laws that don't apply to everyone, apply to noone. Stop making excuses for criminal activity.

I work at an insurance company and well over 30% of our customers do not have a SSN. However, they provide a taxpayer ID number given by the IRS. During tax season, they DO PAY taxes. SO, they FUND our expenses; especially when it comes to being lazy and broke because we are too stupid to work. Often, I feel more proud of them than of "my own kind." Go figure, you know why.
What I have learned over the years is that once you meet a "dreamer" it makes you feel ignorant. Coming to America "ilegally" is a CIVIL offense, not a Federal one. I am thankful to have the opportunity to know this lady that has been nationally recognized by NASA but could not be rewarded for her hard work. Over and over, I have seen her struggling to get back to school, working and doing whatever it takes to help others before herself. I wish my children were as hard-working as her. Unfortunately, I cannot do much for her, but I know God hears my prayers.
Unfortunately, the Southern population is the least educated in all levels. Perhaps, red-necking is the only thing we are good at. My apologies for all the bigot language I used, but you get the point.

This is only troubling to people who believe:
1. That driving without a license or insurance is not a problem.
2. To be in the country illegally is a God-given right.
3. That funding free education to someone in the country illegally is okay, not to mention all the other public services they consume at the expense of those who ARE here legally.
4. That the police shouldn't be following the law.
In other words, liberals.

Maybe the reason why you all feel such hatred for illegal immigrants is because you've never had to be in a situation like theirs. You're at home drinking beer on your oversize couches watching football and staying ignorant while they are burning their behinds studying, getting an education and improving their life conditions. You cannot blame them for that. Yes, illegal immigration is a problem, but when you start accusing those who are actually doing something with their lives of such small ''crimes'', then all this becomes a problem. I went to school with ''Americans'' who didn't give crap about their education while the immigrants worked very hard to learn as much as they could. I worked with ''Americans" who were too lazy to do anything right. So yes, lets go ahead and get rid of all the immigrants who clean for us, who grow our food for us, who do all the work YOU don't want to do because you're too busy hating and drinking beer while watching your football game. Maybe you don't even know how hard it is to obtain a visa to go somewhere else because you haven't even been out of your own house and you don't know better...and I can't blame you for that, because that's perhaps how thousands of ''Americans'' were raised...but condemning a teen to deportation just because of a speeding issue and her immigration status, is not fair, especially when she only wants to stay here to become someone in life...she's not out in the streets killing people and selling drugs or begging for money.
And after all, who are we to judge who is illegal or not...weren't we all illegals at some point?? Unless you have true 100% full Native American blood, you shouldn't be judging anyone by their status, because at some point, you or your parents or grandparents or great-great-great grandparents were immigrants as well, immigrants who came to look for a better way of living...and since you don't blame them for that...you shouldn't be blaming current immigrants for having that desire as well.

Let us all cry over the arrest of an ILLEGAL immigrant, who was DRIVING with no LICENSE (and guess what, NO INSURANCE). So when she wrecks into your car guess who is paying? YOU. Just like you pay for her food and her health care. Get your head out of your ass, illegal immigrants are helping to destroy the economy, this country, and our culture.

Did she have insurance? I didn't see any mention in the article. I have to assume not because the insurance companies ask to see your license and do background checks. If the car was insured by someone else she would not have been covered. It is sad that she was about to graduate but, she's been here seven years and has friends who probably do have cars and insurance. If she had an accident who would have paid? She got pulled over for speeding (slightly). If she could have produced proper documentation she would probably have gotten a warning and sent on her way. She was willingly breaking the law and most assuredly knew it. She was rolling the dice and blew it. Break the law, pay the price.

So, the anchor babies are maturing, assuming their tenure in the US is now protected because their mama made sure her litter got settled in. Lo and behold, the hammer drops years later and now the price for the piper seems high...Well, if you are illegal and are not complying with the laws of the US like every other citizen, you deserve NO special priviledge. It would have been far worse inside Mexico had been an American living in Mexico illegally (if anyone were dumb enough to try).

Yes, but is she here illegally? That's really the only question that needs to be answered here, and the answer appears to be--why no, she isn't. On top of that she broke the law and could have run someone over. I completely agree with jm fay--enough with supporting people who are here illegally when our own people are starving. Get legal or leave!

Ah, the old "mean spirited" to oppose amnesty for illegal aliens. Why should you worry about MY identity, but not about those of people who are sneaking into this country, committing fraud and identity theft to get jobs and benefits, and generally reeking avok with the lives of Americans? What a hypocrite. On a par with the lawyer in MD who's trying to get the petition that puts in-state tuition for illegal aliens to a vote. He's claiming that thousands of the signatures were FRAUDULENT. How's that coming from someone representing illegal aliens and groups who oppose Voter ID checks?

TheDialogue, that's true, and Dean told me that in the interview. Didn't have enough room in the paper to fit everything, but that is definitely something I wish I had mentioned. He said they were quite well-received, and that with the proliferation of YouTube, stand-up comedy is getting much bigger in the Middle East.
