Re: “The Predators' 11th-hour playoff choke job raises lots of questions

Why are the Predators $10M under the salary cap at a time when they are just a puzzle piece away from a championship?

Re: “A run to win the division is unlikely for the Predators — but don't count them out just yet

I am making $89 /hour working from home. I never thought that it was legitimate but my best friend is earning $10 thousand a month by working online, that was really surprising for me, she recommended me to try it. You will lose nothing, just try it out on the following website.

Re: “As the NHL finally brings All-Star Weekend to Nashville, Music City gets its game on — go play

Lwright it would probably be fun to sit and watch in one of the bars downtown, the atmosphere should be buzzing! Brewhouse Downtown should have it on TV and their food is good and they have a big beer selection. It's a popular place for hockey fans before and after the games.

We are lucky enough to have tickets to the game, but will be watching the Skills Competition on Saturday from afar. Any suggestions? Looking for good food, good beer, and preferably close to downtown.

Re: “The Titans' not-so-extensive search for a coach leads them back to where they started

I'm going to stick it out but I must admit that it's hard being a Titan Fan !

Re: “The Titans' not-so-extensive search for a coach leads them back to where they started

Frustrated after 12 years, Henry would be a good pick in the 4th-5th round range. Anywhere earlier would be a confirmation that the Titans are not serious about changing their outdated ways. We always draft backs high and we are the only team who does so besides the Rams...who are pretty much Titans West now. The NFL does not value backs. The league values the vertical passing game (something Mariota is terrible at). We need not be drafting overweight backs really high. Henry has no lateral quickness. He did not deserve the Heisman. McCaffrey got jobbed so badly. It was an epic Heisman snub.

Re: “The Titans' not-so-extensive search for a coach leads them back to where they started

I disagree about the attractiveness of the Titans job. While the division is wide open for a good coach to come in and win, the ownership situation is so terrible you cannot truly expect a winning culture to be fostered unless you have superhuman powers. Also, Mariota cannot throw the ball down the field. That scared off a number of offensive-oriented coaches. When your franchise QB cannot complete passes down the field at a high rate and is instead forced to dink and dunk with horizontal passes like Texas Colt McCoy, you limit the number of systems you can implement. Like it or not, Mariota is not anywhere near as talented as Jameis Winston when it comes to throwing the football. Unfortunately, that likely deterred a number of candidates from even considering the job. The headaches are absentee ownership create aside, hitching one's wagon to a NFL QB who cannot throw down the field is a very risky proposition. Then factor in his inability to stay healthy or protect the ball and you have a guy many would not touch.

Re: “The Titans' not-so-extensive search for a coach leads them back to where they started

Totally agree- after the 12 years, this was it,
not renewing my PSL's- I'll switch to Atlanta and
follow a "REAL" team after this mediocre default choice.
Wanna bet they trade down the #1 draft pick and take the usual
list of wanna-be's. Twelve years and 1 good draft pick they kept-
Mariotta. They will pass on Derrick Henry- a true back- and stay with
Sankey, bless his heart.... Why take a Alabama elite player-(Heisman)
whom would also pull fans from Alabama to fill Nissan stadium...
Did ya see all the former Titans stepping up in the playoff games?
So sad, and we are one of the "IT" cities in US... but can't have
a Titans team to take pride in....
I'll switch to Falcons and Predators, maybe even get to Memphis for a few
Grizzlies games....

Re: “After the beloved Titans kicker's tragic death, details of his last hours make us wonder about his life

Not written was his newlywed wife is one of Terry Bradshaw's daughters.
Regardless of his lack of adjustment out of the NFL, it was a HORRIBLE thing to do to his wife of only three months. Someone once wrote/said, "Suicide is the ultimate selfish act." Mr. Bironas met that criteria, IMO.

Re: “If the Predators' magic is dissipating, what moves should they make?

If Poile were to truly swallow his pride and make such a deal, it should involve Shea Weber. He'd bring the biggest return, free up the biggest amount of cash, and is the likeliest of Nashville defensemen to see his production decline over the coming years rather than improve. He just hasn't been the same since Suter left, anyway.

Re: “Titans coach Ken Whisenhunt lost plenty, but it took losing in Houston to get him fired

It's the uniforms. How can a team play well in ugly uniforms? Total wussy, especially the dark blue jerseys with the light blur shoulder stripes.

Re: “Titans coach Ken Whisenhunt lost plenty, but it took losing in Houston to get him fired

The biggest concern was Ken Whisenhunts stubborn insistence on being a pass-first offense. The Titans needs to be a physical run-first team and take the pressure off of Marcus Mariota. Mularkey will run the ball a lot more.

"In the short term, the Titans will be coached by Mike Mularkey, a perfect choice since his surname describes the team."

Seriously? From which middle school did you get your Journalism degree?

Re: “A proposed game plan for Vanderbilt football head coach Derek Mason

Those are not completely idiotic thoughts but mostly wishful thinking. I can't imagine David Williams pining to read your thoughts. Unfortunately, I think it will take less of a Jesus-like miracle to save Mason's job since Vandy's "athletic director" doesn't have the sack to fire a worthless placeholder like Melanie Balcomb. The truth is Vanderbilt's administration would rather lose than pony up the cash to land a blue chip coach even though they could afford Nick Saban. Try cutting the irritating, political references if you want to be taken seriously as a sports writer.
