Re: “Wine in Grocery Stores Commences This Friday

"the nearest Kroger is four miles away from me"

Actually Revelator, I checked it's less than a mile from where you live. The walk will do you good, not sure about the EBT card though.

Re: “Open Thread: What's Your Favorite Way to Enjoy Cheerwine?

Dearie dear; if I could delete that now, I surely would.

If one of you who has that ability wishes to, then you're welcome to redact that, and this post as well.

.. (no need at all to add agitation) .!

yoyo moi thinks he knows who I am and where I live.

You have an open invitation, yoyo.

Stop by anytime.

I've got something for you.

It's a cure for what ails you.

Re: “Open Thread: What's Your Favorite Way to Enjoy Cheerwine?

No, it is NOT quite so easy to ignore it, for anyone close to the profession.

What we are seeing is pathology on parade.

...

This is, NOT, *at all*, funny.

NOT, *in the slightest bit*, cute.

What we are witnessing here is a public display of mental illness.

Such individuals, rather than public fora in which to vent themselves, need psychiatric treatment.

But most of them won't find it, or, if they do, won't avail themselves of it....

Re: “Wine in Grocery Stores Commences This Friday

Wine in grocery stores is great news except the nearest Kroger is four miles away from me, I don't own a car, my driver's license was suspended, I don't have any friends to give me a ride, I was blacklisted by Uber, I don't think you can purchase alcohol with an EBT card and when I mix booze with my anti psychotic meds I'm even more menacing than usual.

Other than that, good times. DANG.

Re: “Wine in Grocery Stores Commences This Friday

Nice try, @templarvivet, but The Fourthof July is perfectly acceptable. In fact, it is listed as such on the state's website that indicates wine and liquor sales restrictions.

Re: “Salt & Vine Slated to Open This Week in Sylvan Heights

That's exactly what Chris said — the Charlotte route was proposed by detractors of the original route.

Meaning West End was the official proposal but other people suggested Charlotte would be a better location.

Re: “Hendrick's Flying Cucumber Airship Will Fly Over Nashville This Week

It's still a dirigible, though. That's from the French word "diriger" meaning "to steer" similar to "direct".

(if I can't be a pedantic jackass at PITW, then where I ask can I be one?)

Re: “Salt & Vine Slated to Open This Week in Sylvan Heights

The AMP was proposed for West End Ave. It was never proposed for Charlotte though a lot of people made noise about wishing it would run there, it was never going to be put there. The 50 BRT and the 10 run right by there and are easy to access.

Strip it down to the bare walls. Scatter a bunch of lawns chairs around. Park a food truck outside. Standing room only.

Re: “Wine in Grocery Stores Commences This Friday

Thanks for the link to the map! I agree on still supporting local liquor stores as I definitely have my favorites that are well-stocked and curated. But I can't say it won't also be nice to pick up bottles at Costco & Trader Joe's...

Ah, Vivet! Multiple screen names no doubt and a whore for a mother.

Sounds like a certain smelly someone we all dread.

By the way, I don't know a single person who asks, "what are your plans for Independence Day?"
Everybody says, " the fourth", ya doofus.

Thanks for this! Saw it over LaVergne earlier today and wondered what it was (never got close enough to read it)...

Re: “Otaku Ramen Makes Me Eats My Words By Allowing Me to Eat My Noodles at Home

Willonius Funk is the editor-removed "the dude abideth" and other deleted pseudonyms. He tries to fool people by creating new pseudonyms. Those number in the hundreds. Several of us have decided to out him every time he does this. He is obsessed with three or four commenters he has stalked, attacked, lied about, and impersonated for years. Nothing he writes about others is true. He is fond of writing pure filth and reveals himself thusly. He is describing himself and his own behavior. He is not just psycho but pure evil. He is a blight.

The holiday which we celebrate on the fourth of July is INDEPENDENCE DAY which you would know if you weren't such a pathetic excuse for a "journalist".
