Re: “Nashville Delegation Drops Ball On In-State Tuition For Undocumented Immigrants

Bo Mitchell should go back to being a "citizen" and less of a "legislator" and Dems should find someone worthy of that seat.

Is there a plan for use of the existing facility if existing operations move out?

Re: “Nashville, We Have Strange Priorities

When the courts were in temporary facilities at Metro Center a decade ago, the jail dockets remained at the CJC. I would surmise that a new jail would include a courtroom or two for the jail dockets.

Re: “Here is How Belmont's Alberto Gonzales Defines 'Torture'

john, stuttering is a problem with verbalization. The inability to construct coherent typed sentences is an indicator of a lack of education, as is not knowing the difference.

Continued efforts to change the subject when you screw something up is an indicator of you.

If you were smart, you would have known that.

Re: “Report: Flawed FBI Testimony Used Against 16 Tennessee Defendants, Including 4 on Death Row

Ted Kennedy, aka, the swimmer, he let her drown. JC, distressed?

Now, JC, my problem with WJC was not so much as he was getting BJs (who among us and all that) from a willing Jewish Princess but rather he lied a about in front of God and everyone. Are you not a little disturbed?

Remember, JC, they stayed up late and talked dirty over the phone.

No, Anglworm, AWP,Revel, and Bubba no need to wear a rubber during phone sex. I hope B Phillips addresses this sordid issue. Perfect for her.

Why are these always disgusting, nasty and squalid little Democrat things and right up to the present, still so typically Democrat....Weeny, his wifey is Hildebeest's best bud? The Weeny has go to be the ugliest human in NYC. But then, it is NYC, I guess.

Someone said the Hildebeest had a penchant for medium sized dogs but I tend to dismiss that sort of ugly rumor. Why is it I have a hard time thinking Bill is giving her any?

Or because Charles Robert Bone is the Convention Center Authority attorney and...(wah-laa)... Pat Emery or his wife is now on his fund-raising host committee in charge of raising money to keep the cycle going.

Re: “#MayoralChatter: The Candidates on Moving PSC Metals

Obviously Dumber Nashville (Fox staffer) nor Linda are from 'round here. PSC only owns 23 acres, and they lease 26 acres. They have a long term lease. Rent adjusts every 10 years and its a sweet deal, evidently. And it is supposedly the most profitable location in their portfolio. They aren't going anywhere, no matter how high the value.

When you stutter it is a problem. Most people do not make fun of this.
My mother would have switched me if she knew I was tormenting a stutterer.

Anyway, look at the map.....

Re: “Nashville Delegation Drops Ball On In-State Tuition For Undocumented Immigrants

David, speaking as someone who is at least part Cherokee, your definition of "Illegal Immigrants" appear to be "anyone trying to sneak into this country after my ancestors stole it fair and square from the Indians."

Immigrants want to improve their lives and their families lives, so they came here, the same as my ancestors. I *want* those kind of people in my country. People like that are the history and soul of this country, and are what makes America great. So stop throwing up artificial roadblocks and let them.

American employers *love* saying "Well, I just can't find any Americans to do the job" while leaving off the critical end of that sentence: "at the price I want to pay." I spent a decade helping my father in the tobacco fields, and it's tough work, but the problem isn't the lack of workers, but the lowball salary. You pay Americans $25 an hour, and I'll bet you're surprised how many are willing to work.

They also play the same game in Silicon Valley. "Oh woe is us, we can't find enough Americans (with masters and 10 years experience) to work (at the $40k salary we want to pay), so we need more H1-B immigrants from India."

It's amazing how MBA types *love* the free market, until it applies to them. Then they use bribery, corruption, and "useful idiots" to game the laws in their favor. (Disclaimer: I have a MBA, but I'm a scientist at heart).

Re: “Nashville Delegation Drops Ball On In-State Tuition For Undocumented Immigrants

Lawmakers and U. S. presidents/emperors bought and paid for by and doing the bidding of the profiteers of illegal immigration/labor have brought us the huge, destructive mess we have today, a mess that keeps getting bigger because these fools invite and reward it at every opportunity.

Sonny, no one is hateful here. It is a complex question.

As for you, you are just angling for more Democrats (you hope).

"The criminal parents"
"anti-American agenda"
"cost the economy far more than they contribute"
"another ploy to take money and jobs"

I see the tinfoil hat sales are skyrocketing. That should help the economy.

Re: “Nashville Delegation Drops Ball On In-State Tuition For Undocumented Immigrants

Illegal immigrants cost the economy far more than they contribute.
This is nothing more than another ploy to take money and jobs from Americans that are natural citizens or who have migrated here legally.

Re: “Nashville Delegation Drops Ball On In-State Tuition For Undocumented Immigrants

Whether you're for or against immigration reform, can we set that aside long enough to be angry at politicians, elected and paid for by the voters to serve, who couldn't be bothered to do the job we paid them for? Harwell gets a bit of an excuse given the number of committees she may sit in, but the others? Sorry, you ran for office, you knew the job. No meeting is more important than a vote. You're just making excuses.

Re: “Nashville Delegation Drops Ball On In-State Tuition For Undocumented Immigrants

It's a tough call, but for a number of reasons, illegal immigration should not be rewarded with bills and laws like this. The criminal parents are using their children to leech on to this country. They know exactly how to go about it; they are instructed, and they know our nation's weaknesses better than Americans know them. Our legislature is not elected and paid to represent citizens of other countries.

There is a definite anti-American agenda behind all this.

"Tell that to Paula Jones and Gennifer Flowers"

Yeah and tell it Juanita Broaddrick. Thanks goodness NBC edited that interview and held it until after Bill Cosby Clinton was safely reelected.

Re: “Nashville Delegation Drops Ball On In-State Tuition For Undocumented Immigrants

I'm sorry, but you were elected (and more importantly, *PAID*) to *VOTE*. If an elected politicians is *paid* to vote (by the voters, anyway...) and doesn't show up, and they don't have a serious illness or death in the family, they should be banned from running for reelection since they obviously have more important things to do than their job.

Re: “Nashville, We Have Strange Priorities

Maybe I missed it, but what's the fiscal note on transporting hundreds of prisoners every day to the jail docket in general sessions court. Or are they going to move the jail docket out to the new jail and have all the attorneys drive out there?
