The new shoneys is wonderful.The food is great now that they did away with the hot bar.They have a better menu and the salmon was very good.Can't wait to eat there again,our shoneys closed in Shelbyville tn. maybe they could open it again,we sure need agood Shoneys here in our little town...

Last time I went it still tasted just as nasty as the time before... New look, new menu, still aweful. If I wasn't sure before, I'm sure now. I'm done with Shoneys.

I think the reason the dinner crowd is sparse is that they didn't originally serve dinner; it was just breakfast and lunch. So everyone went and loved it for breakfast and lunch and that's how they think of it now. It's really hard to change people's dining habits and I think Marché missed the window for getting people to think of it for dinner. Meg Giuffrida at Red Wagon had the same problem - it was so ingrained as a lunch/brunch spot that by the time she decided to serve a (terrific) full-service dinner, it was too late to get people to re-think.

The live music is on Friday's from 5 till 7.

Come on-- You're being a little rough on this new and refreshing establishment. I'm diggin it as a late night bar with icy cold, good draught. I've also been there several times for lunch, and dinner, and have found it consistently good. Great, even. Gotta love a place who can get the fries right... crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside, while reminding you that it is actually a potato you are eating. And the BBQ ranks just fine in my book. The BBQ tofu was even good. Your review, Carrington, was about as reckless as Kay West downing several bloody mary's at the Slow Bar, then stumbling over to Battered & Fried to harass the wait staff, and slobber all over her bib. Don't be so damn arrogant and callous, and give a leg up to an establishment that deserves much better. I don't care how many times you visited. You don't need to grind your ax here.

I just posted a good comment on Facebook regarding Shoney's and their EXCELLENT reputation. To my knowledge, there is only one remaining here in Texas and that one is located at the corner of Walzem Ave. and the southbound frontage of I-35. I am trying to see if there may someday be a comeback as I heard one employee there suggest. Shoney's has ALWAYS been a verrrry pleasurable dining experience and I will be sadder than you can imagine if it ever goes out of busi....yikes I cant even say that! :(
