Re: “Jon Langford Hosts Revenge of the Mekons Thursday at The Belcourt

Fans of le music popular could do worse to get a copy of "The Mekons Rock 'n' Roll," my favorite of their records, and put the sublimely great song "Learning to Live on Your Own" on auto-repeat.

The loser has the unfortunate duty of sleeping with Katy Perry.

Jim stops rowing as he realizes the Joker's demand to "paddle your own canoe" was probably a figure of speech.

Re: “Bluebird Cafe to Close in June, Will Become Jimmy Buffett’s Cheeseburger in Paradise

Hi there! I actually work at The Bluebird Cafe and we have recently been receiving a lot of calls about this again. I can assure you that we are not closing. Rest easy folks! We plan on being around for years to come!

How is this a review? It was kinda snarky.

Re: “The Black Belles' Olivia Jean to Release Jack White-Produced Debut Solo LP Oct. 14

STFU Truth hurts. Olivia Jean most likely doesn't give a rats ass about your petty comments. Whenever someone compliments Ms Jean, a moron like yourself says they must be Olivia. Okay. If it makes you feel better.
The truth REALLY is that looking up Olivia Jean on the internet makes sense - if you're a fan. Idiots who claim not to like her, but devote a large amount of time googling her and slandering her name, are just plain weird. She isn't a household name - so for you to have so much hatred for a woman who is not in the spotlight is just plain bizarre. You better watch out that someone doesn't eventually take action against you and sue you for slander. If you had any kind of intelligence, you would know that what you put on the internet can come back to bite you in your pathetic butt.

Can't help but notice the similarity in this guy's drumming posture and style with Jamin's.

Re: “ICYMI: Aerosmith's Steven Tyler Moved to Nashville to Ruin Country Music

Wait a minute lol...I thought artists like Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line & Taylor Swift were the ones who ruined country music. I had no idea country was still considered good and someone actually thinks Steven Tyler is going to be the one to ruin it.

smdh...I'm sure with Big Machine the album will be some kinda formulated Bro Country/Pop Rock...but, you CANNOT say Steven Tyler will be the one to "ruin country music"...lmfao someone fire this writer lol

Adam West, Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer, George Clooney, Christian Bale, and Ben Affleck (with Nashville's own Bat Poet as coxswain) prepare to take on the Joker Crew.

Re: “D'Angelo, Kacey Musgraves and Songhoy Blues Added to Bonnaroo Lineup

This is excellent news! The wife is over the moon about seeing Kacey (and Courtney Barnett) and I'm ecstatic about the addition of Songhoy Blues. They do an amazing cover of "Kashmir" on the CD accompanying the new Mojo Magazine (it's played for Jimmy Page in the interview inside and he claims it's among the best Zep covers he's ever heard) and I've been hearing about them blowing away folks at SXSW. I actually went to look at the Bonnaroo lineup on Monday, to see if they were playing (since I might not have recognized their name prior to learning who they were) and was disappointed to see they weren't included. And then today I log onto the Cream et voila!

Oh and I'm sure D'Angelo will be excellent as well.

But Cheekwood was built with money made by selling shitty coffee. That's *almost* as evil.
