Re: “Buying Foo Fighters Ryman Tickets on Secondary Market Probably a Bad Idea

Missing out because there's only 2400 and over 30,000 were purchasing isn't the sticking point. The point is that many tried since the beginning and couldnt get 1 ticket yet these scalpers got 100s of tickets. How's that happen?

Re: “Tennessee, We're Politically Apathetic

@Spader: With George Soros and Tom Steyer providing boodles of cash it's the Demos that play rich against poor, Republicans against African-Americans, claim that Republicans have declared war on women and in the last election said Romney caused a woman to die of cancer. And, on top of that, Soros and Steyer fund various agencies that provide inaccurate studies of "climate disruption." (Huh?) And still they have to bribe the voters with cell phones and, in many new cases, food stamps that aren't needed, just to get their candidates elected. If Democrat policies are so wonderful, why are their candidates staying as far away as they can from Obama. Low-tech workers would be foolish to vote for party that encourages illegal immigrants to cross our borders and take low-tech jobs.

Re: “Tennessee, We're Politically Apathetic

Spader, can you give us some background on your Koch-Citizens United theory of the tea party, when the tea party movement came about 11 months before the Citizens United decision was released...

Re: “Tennessee, We're Politically Apathetic

Angry White Patriot-

That's certainly the propaganda. What really happened is that the Koch Brothers were able (via Citizen's United) to sink unprecedented capital into political campaigns- so much so that they were able to create a new faction of the Republican party (the Tea Party). They were really smart about their approach (a lot of despicable men in think tanks were actually the smart ones), and they came up with the idea that they could conquer the Republican party AND increase their voter base if they appeared to focus on ideological issues (e.g. gay marriage, abortion, religion in schools, gun control). They realized that if they were able to create a faction of politicians that appeared to bleed for these issues, they could shove any corporate, or individual wealth tax benefits right through the pipeline. It worked! The LCD bought in completely and voted against their own financial and political interests on the basis of a handful of ideological issues. We shouldn't even be talking about gay marriage and abortion at this point in our cultural evolution. It's antediluvian. That's the first time I've heard the term libtard, but I'm afraid the joke's on you. (unless you're in the upper 1% of our nation's wealth, in which case you're just waving the flag, right?). Inevitably it comes down to religion- you are a slave of your religion, just as Islamic Jihadis are a slave of theirs. The opiate of the masses is a trick that never gets old.

Killing them early prevents those people from committing crimes? You should put that on a Democratic campaign poster in Harlem's high abortion rate neighborhoods. That is eerily similar to the arguments of Margaret Sanger.

H.P. Lovecraft's "The Rats in the Walls" is the first story I remember that really spooked me. Also had trouble sleeping after "Pickman's Model" and "The Picture in the House."

And the abortion-at-all-costs crowd might think safe abortions include a clean facility with properly working equipment and qualified professionals. As much as you would like to think, Kermit Gosnell is not an outlier.

Re: “Your guide to the four propositions on Tuesday's ballot

The judge's bench is no place to play politics. Do you really wish for the judge positions to be filled by politicians. You will notice that the only people endorsing this amendment are politicians and corporations. Anyone else who has lived in a State where the judges were directly elected know this is a terrible idea that everyone will grievously regret. Other States wish they could implement these reforms that are already in place here in Tennessee.. You see how bad government is with these incumbents, just wait until they finish destroying our justice system by politicizing it. This is a very unwise and incompetent measure. PLEASE VOTE NO ! The judge's bench is no place to play politics. Once elected into office there is no way to remove or discipline them. Most become tyrants. you and I will be very sorry. A yes vote is to step backwards by fifty years.

Not fed up with Wall Street cheats? With dark money? With corrupt legislators? With lobbyists writing legislation? With corporate welfare? With banks too big to fail? No, just the immigrants and I'm NOT racist.

Did I hear a dog whistle???? Down, Fido, I will let Min carry the ball here. And she seems to be doing a fine enough job, she's got you spitting inane challenges and spoiling for a fight. I would have thought you would be hanging from your feet, resting up and getting ready to stalk the humans tonight! Maybe put the bite on someone. This IS your special holiday!
