Re: “Nashville Illustrator Yoni Limor is the Man Behind the Coolest Marriage Proposal Ever

I couldn't be more thrilled that Molly and Jason's story of love is spreading around the ENTIRE world!

Re: “Nashville Recap: ‘I Saw the Light’

Why is everyone hating on Avery? He is the most realistic character on the show. If you have lived in Nashville for any length of time, you have know an "Avery". You have either been in a band with him or you dated him, or you know someone who has. Maybe that's why his character is so hated, he touches on a past personal experience with a jerky musician willing to throw friends under the bus to "make it." Without his character, the show would just be the fantasy version of Nashville. The other story lines leave me and my friends saying, "yeah right, that is not how that would really happen!, who's writing this stuff? have they ever even been to Nashville?" Avery might be a jerk, but he is a true representation of all the desperate musicians here who will do anything to get their "big break."

Re: “Nashville Recap: ‘I Saw the Light’

Am I the only one waiting for Cowboy Neighbor to tell Avery "Welcome to Nashville, bitch."? (Ah, Luke, it's so good to see you back on TV...)

Re: “Flipping Channels: Mad Men Will Return Shortly

Reads to me like Wynn is supporting your line of reasoning and shooting down the conventional wisdom that SVU would fold without Meloni.

Re: “Nashville Recap: ‘I Saw the Light’

I hope Avery makes it to the roadie gig and is killed by a fallen lighting rig. Last week I was hoping a crane from the Music City Center would kill him. Avery needs to die!

Re: “Flipping Channels: Mad Men Will Return Shortly

Ron Wynn, re: SVU Wtf would it "Vanish"? ...Shows dont CANCEL themselves because an an actor LEAVES! Hargitay has always been at the forefront of SVU.
Sick and tired of the Meloni whining! SVU is pretty much a lock for renewal.

This latest episode of SVU was fantastic. Mariska Hargitay is stunning. She is like wine. The more time passes it gets better. Mariska is beautiful and talented.

Re: “Tonight: NPR's On Point With Tom Ashbrook at TPAC

The other morning I turned on the radio during the middle of On Point and the guest was talking and continued to talk uninterrupted for maybe 20 or 30 seconds. I thought, "Damn, someone must be filling in for Ashbrook today. No way he lets a guest speak for that long without interrupting." Turns out I was confused about what time it was and the show was actually Fresh Air.

Ashbrook has his good points. His worst point is that he can't shut up for more than about ten seconds.

My favorite recap so far. Joffrey! That Edwin song, the recurring ending. Love how you point out the obvious foreshadowing. Bravo.

Re: “Tomorrow: The Incredible Shrinking Man at The Belcourt

"a matchbook Robinson Caruso."

Man, there's a phrase I wish I'd written. Thanks, Tony!

Re: “Tomorrow: The Incredible Shrinking Man at The Belcourt

It took a lot of guts for CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON director Jack Arnold to keep the book's ending, instead of transplanting a rescue and "last minute miracle cure." I really enjoyed the film. It was also very much a matchbook Robinson Caruso.

Re: “Tomorrow: The Incredible Shrinking Man at The Belcourt

I only recently caught up with the original novel, Matheson's "The Shrinking Man" (less shrieking title), and it's also remarkable..

Re: “What You Missed: The Rock-afire Explosion's Reunion Tour

They have a Billy Bob's Wonderland that operates in Barboursville, WV. The band is in rough shape but it is still working.
