Re: “Best Actress

I love La Toya, not only is she a talented performer, but she is a beautiful woman inside and out. My daughter had the privilege of performing with LaToya in Aida, and this being my daughter first time, Latoya kinda adopted her and they have stay in touch, in return we have gotten to know her and have abopted her into our family. I'm so thrilled she has gotten this Honor. It could not have gone to a better singer, actress, all around performer and just a sweet, sweet soul. Jill

Re: “Best Features Album

To me, nothing can ever compare to "Some Kind of Salvation," the album that vaulted over all others in my 40+ years of music listening to become the mythical "Best Album Ever."

Re: “Best Musical

As an employee of Tennessee Repertory Theatre I would like to thank everyone who voted for CABARET to win "Best Musical." CABARET was a very special production for us... theatre magic!!! There really isn't a day that goes by that I don't hear someone say they miss CABARET! We are glad you enjoyed CABARET as much as we did bringing it to our stage.

Re: “Best Local Theater Company

With so many talented people and organizations in Nashville we are proud to be counted as one of the best local theatre companies in Nashville! As an employee of Tennessee Repertory Theatre, I'd like to thank everyone who voted! The theatre scene in Nashville rocks, we glad you agree with us!

Re: “Best Modern Performance

Making it even more impressive, those sirens and alarm bells were NOT sampled - they were real, and Blair School student percussionists were playing them! It was quite a spectacle. Thanks for the write-up!

Re: “Best Background-to-Spotlight Crossover

Brandy Clark is about the first singer/songwriter to stir my passions this much since Kristofferson, Hoyt Axton, Haggard, Carol King, James Taylor days. She's both clever and insightful, both fun & depressing, old school, yet refreshing -- I'm thinking she's an original. Whoa!

Re: “Best Background-to-Spotlight Crossover

She has always been great at everything she has set her mind to. I have always known she would make it and look at her now. So happy people are finally getting to hear her beautiful voice and incredible music.

Re: “Best Experimental Jazz/Electronic Album

This is a really great album. I have listened to it repeatedly, along with the preceding two (find them on Bandcamp.com). Brilliant composition and execution.
