Re: “Carmike Hickory 8

Family and I went to see Cloudy with a chance of Meatballs @. There were some technical difficulties (sound disappearing for 5 minutes, full speakers not working until after 30minutes of movie start time) but it was perfect for our 3 who are all 5 and under. I am looking forward to taking them again. We are going to make this a monthly thing for them!

Re: “B&C Melrose BBQ

I'm a huge bbq lover and B&C is without a doubt the best in the area. The location makes picking up very fast and easy, it also has a good sized dining area to eat in. The Brisket is out of this world!! Definitely a must try BBQ joint

Re: “Ms. Kellis Karaoke Bar

This is a poorly ran bar. The employees are nice but "Ms. Kelli" herself is a very rude person. Drinks are priced well but its the poor service of the owners that make the experience bad. Will never go to Ms. Kelli's again.

Re: “Cinco de Mayo

A Bug was in our Margarita Pitcher tonight (02/15/14) at Cinco De Mayo at the 358 White Bridge Road location. I had never eaten here before and my friend from work wanted to go out and suggested that we go here. Mind you this was not her first choice but I wanted to try to check out the NBA All-Star game and figure this would be a good place since she had been here and their other locations before. Never again would I come to a place where there was hair in my food, mediocre service, and bugs in the ice/drinks. I was so shocked, disgusted, and embarrassed. I have never had anything of the sort happen to me ever! Not even at a fast food place! The manager of this establishment thought it was funny and laughed at the situation! I would not recommend this place or any of their other locations to anybody; friend or foe. The manager acted poorly and was very disrespectful about the situation. He did not represent this company in a good light and did not offer an apology.

Re: “Bombay Bistro

I have dined at Indian restaurants in many cities both small and large and never have I been more disappointed that at Bombay Bistro. The food tasted processed, almost like a Whole Foods frozen Indian meal. It was not at all authentic Indian food. You cannot cover bad recipes with spices. I was also alarmed at the rude attitude of the manager/owner. He lurked by the tables all through our dinner. He treated his staff poorly and in plain sight which added to the uncomfortable vibe. So, to wrap up my review, if you like processed Indian food with an uncomfortable vibe in a "strip mall setting...not to mention the dark ambiance in the room which added nothing...than you may or may not like this place but for me, I have found better Indian food at other Nashville restaurants with hospitality to match ! I will not be back to Bombay Bistro. Steer clear.

Re: “Shalimar

lunch specials Monday - friday are a killer deal. 12.99 for a butt load of food- nan, salad, etc. parking is terrible. worth it tho.

Re: “Sam's Sushi

After reviewing the first post, I feel torn between a weird urge to take up for this place or to convey complete understanding of the previous reviewer's opinion. Sam's Sushi is the BEST sushi in Nashville. Hands down. No question. Cheap. Delicious. Fresh. GOOOOOOOOD. That said, Sam is, er....well..., Sam is direct. Sometimes, his abrupt communication style is taken too personally. Cultural differences between restaurant owners and the populations they serve may explain why some diners discredit the outstanding food quality Sam delivers. Quantity is a bonus, in my opinion. Food quality is guaranteed... as long as you don't get too sensitive when you dine out. :) Sam once told me that my last name means 'Shame' when translated as his native language. Honestly, I'm glad to know that the best Nashville sushi comes with a side of snarky truth. Laugh it off and enjoy the food. That's the secret to making Sam like you, by the way. As the other rules you should follow? Well, you'll see...... I think it's worth whatever you may experience. Happy dining! - Regina Hodge :)

Re: “Shalimar

its funny when people will spend $80 on a bar tab and complain about good food prices. People who complain about that want cheap food, go to krystals is next door if you prefer. I will say, this restaurants struggled a bit. but Recently, This place has become the best indian restaurant in Nashville. Listen, this place has secrets that only loyal customers figure out. (1) ask for suggestions, though the wait staff except two folks, seem shy, they are your best friends. you just need to ask. (2) the meat is of higher quality- kosher (3) order chicken tikka masala; any ENTREE with the word jelfraze or saag (except the veggie side dishes. only saag paneer I like out of the sides); park in the back; (4) bring your own champagne and youll walk out with a bill that would've otherwise been double what you're paying (5) know youre putting good food in your system,

Re: “Pizzereal

My girlfriend and I love Pizzereal! For the longest time, we were searching for good pizza in Nashville. Pizzereal hits the nail on the head with great tasting pizza with fresh ingredients! Their menu is simple, but awesome! They've got a myriad of toppings to choose from, a great house salad and yummy local beers. What else could you want from a pizzaria?

Aside from how great the food is, we love the relaxed family atmosphere inside, and the more Catina feel of the outside seating; perfect for summer time drinks with friends. Another plus is that you do not have to deal with the scenesters from other hipsterias in the neighborhood.

All this, and it's right at five points! We've found it a great place to meet up for food before a show at the 5 Spot.

Re: “Nero's Grill

This restaurant closing is a tragedy for so many wonderful customers as well as the great long term employees with families , I just do not understand why anyone would leave negative comments at a time like this-idiots!

John and Judy, you have done so very much for so many people and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Wishing you well in all your future endeavors -we love you!

Peace, love and joy to all.

Re: “The Arts Company

I find Charles Keiger's work pedestrian and derivative. It is based in subjective and laughable surrealism, all stolen from the greats and reduced here for consumption for those he thinks do not know his influences. A sad example of modern "surrealistic" art - (f)art for the simpleminded who "love pretty horsies." Honestly, get some Grant Wood and do yourself a favor.
