After looking on Google Maps, I see that over the years a new storage business has opened up next to the Starlite Club and there is a trailer park next to the Storage rental business. Guys, a word of advice, put your valuable in storage before you drive or walk over to the trailer park. Have the "Lady" you meet at the Starlite Club tell you what trailer she "lives" in and that you will meat her there. That way your car does get broken into and you can get the hell out of there whenever you want.
Best advice is don't go there in the first place...........
I use to live in Nashville 30 years ago. I find it hard to believe that this whore house is still open. The old lady that ran the place should have put trailers in the back parking lot. It would have save a lot of men the cost of a motel room after they picked up the LADIES that came here EVERY NIGHT. This "dinner and dance club" is nothing but a long running dive for whores and drugs. Surely Metro Police are that blind!!!!
This is my favorite place in Smyrna (an oxymoron,I know, but still...) It has a pretty little muck of a pond with a fountain & lovely old willow trees. When I lived there this was my oasis...
Chappy’s in Nashville “specializing” in New Orleans and Creole food, we wanted to see for ourselves. I have not been there for dinner, but I have eaten lunch there and that fried chicken sandwich was very delicious. When we walked in, the vibe was depressing; no one was upbeat and it seemed like everything was moving in slow motion, and the décor was French quarter on a messy budget.
Our server told us about his likes and the specials, and delivered the bread with an array of butters. We looked over the menu and decided to go with an appetizer and soup to start. The fried green tomatoes were just ok a little bland for my taste, but the parmesan cheese, and sauce helped it out. When I saw corn and crab bisque, I had to order it and the soup was good. For entrée, I ordered the chicken ship island (it was a shipwreck) the chicken breast had no flavor, I could not find it at all, and I even looked under the table. I chose not to get the rice du jour; I chose the mixed vegetables and it looked like a hot mess served on a plate. My guest ordered grilled bbq spice shrimp and it was not spicy, but he added the Chappys hot sauce and it worked that out. He loved the rice du jour but all in all it was just ok. Being a New Orleans style restaurant, I saw bread pudding on the menu and really wanted it; however, I no longer had and appetite.
Chappy’s has a plenty of space on the inside and descent parking out back. They also have jazz night and offer cooking classes. It has been open since 2006 and how it has been said to be the best Cajun restaurant in Nashville, but really there is not many around here. The owner is really a cool fun guy who chats with the every guest, but hopefully they can get it together so the place can stick around.
The Idle Hour is the ONLY LIVE MUSIC VENUE ON MUSIC ROW! The walls of this joint bleed with 30+ years of beer, cigarette smoke, and the vibrant echoes of thousands hit songs written on these very bar stools by Nashville's top songwriters. If you want a taste of REAL MUSIC ROW HISTORY stop in Bobby's Idle Hour and ask for Jonathan the bar keeper. WEDNESDAY NIGHTS feature Makayla's Music Row Showcase.
We had three tickets for the Mavericks show, which had been postponed twice. It was scheduled to start at 8 pm, but we showed up at 6 pm, because we knew from experience that good seats would be gone early.
We stood in a long line, and when we got in, there were NO seats left. The lower area, in front of the stage was completely empty of tables. People looking for seats were forced to stand, elbow to elbow, in any space they could find.
Because we simply could not stand for 4-5 hours to get through the show, we simply left. We are out the $60+ for the tickets, and 3rd and Lindsley is out not only the $100 or so we would have spent, but also any future income from us.
I will NEVER go back!
Tower closed at least 3 years ago.
This was bay far the worst dining experience I have ever had! My wife and I went to Ri'Chards on a Saturday night and the place was nicely filled with locals who seemed to be enjoying the music, but not the high priced lack luster food. I could smell the old frying grease so strongly you think we would have known not to order food either. We got the worse sevice, which included bot getting napkins or silverware. My wife order gumbo (IT WAS SERVED COLD and looked very dark and gritty). The jambalaya was some overcooked boxed rice thaw was cold and mushy with tough overcooked and probably old chicken and sausage. To top it off we got the racist stare the entire time we endured this meal.
AVOID THIS PLACE!!!!!!!
FooBar is for folks that want to have fun. Pool tables, darts, DJs spinning great vinyl, people playing a topple game easing pieces out of tower of 2x4s, an additional room with a band playing post Hard Core. My first trip there was very early evening and a Dead Kennedys song was in the bar tunes mix. Ahhhhhh........
This place is awesome! They had $2 domestic draught/bottle beer, which is far cheaper than anything else in midtown. Tavern has beer for about $4 and is usually very crowded. Blue Bar was relatively quiet and had a nice ambience. Smoking is allowed indoors and a pool table is available. Not sure if they had food though, but that's okay because all we went there for was for cheaper beer and a good time!

Very unprofessional owner... disrespectful to bands... they're treated worse than the cleanup staff... often short or do not pay the bands... VERY dirty kitchen (roaches)... and unattentive bar staff that always seems ticked off that they have to work.
NOW.. that being said... the WAITRESSES are exceptional... it's a shame they only stick around 3-4 weeks before moving on to a better place (kind of speaks for itself, doesn't it?)
I have just released my first Christmas song . Now available on itunes ! www.kevinbklein.com http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/kevinbklein1
Hillwood is a wonderful and welcoming place for family worship!
Great food, Great atmosphere, good service. Definitively recommend to anyone. Finally a healthy restaurant that's not seriously overpriced.
Typical chain food. Nashville has much better to offer.
FABULOUS and FUN collection of guitars!!!

Re: “Losers”
What a piece of crap place. The name says it all, LOSERS. Keep an eye on your car if parked in their lot. Went there for some food and drink and came out 2 hours later and they had my car towed that was parked in their lot. Will never go there again or Winners either for that matter.
