Re: “Regal Opry Mills 20 & IMAX

I miss this theatre!!! It's unfortunate that the flood forced this theatre to close! It was my favorite and I really am longing for the IMAX to return! It can't reopen fast enough for me! I loved it!

Re: “Ri'Chard's Louisiana Cafe

I was in Nashville and visited Richard's. As a Louisiana Native I know good cajun food, and they have it! The atmosphere and service was great also. A must visit for anyone who wants to Lassaiz les bons temps rouler

Re: “Ri'Chard's Louisiana Cafe

Okay - I admit - I have a long-standing love affair with Jambalaya. When I go to New Orleans I usually study the menu carefully and then order it at every restaurant that offers it. And I usually end up thinking, "Nice, but not as good as Ri'Chard's."

My other favorite thing about the place is that it's only 15 minutes from my house in Hillsboro Village, but it's like going to a different world out there in the green countryside. And when you get there, they greet you like family. It's a great example of why locally-owned places have it all over the corporate chains.

Re: “Ri'Chard's Louisiana Cafe

The food is authentic, and very well prepared, and I agree the atmosphere is fun, but the music is the feature at Richard's. Being a pretty fair songwriter himself, Richard has attracted pretty high level talent, to play in this intimate atmosphere. You never know who will see there, from touring acts, to hit songwriters, and a very interesting selection of up and coming writers as well. We get in there as often as we can.

Re: “Sambuca

I have been at Sambuca numerous times for dinner and we love the food. Actually have reservations for 6 this Thursday night. It can be a little loud at times with the music however the quality of the food makes up for that. Love what you do keep doing it!!

Re: “Ri'Chard's Louisiana Cafe

Has to be one of the best kept secrets around. Great food at a fair price. Fun atmosphere with various singers on hand. And the owner is right there in the mix. Daughters took me for Father's Day and went back five days later. Loved it!

Re: “Wild Beaver Saloon

One of the best places to go in downtown. The staff has always been friendly and they know how to take care of their customers. The Karaoke is a lot of fun especially on the weekends when Delaney is there to keep the party going.

Re: “Factory at Franklin

Art Fusion 2010 on June 4 & 5 had to be the best art and music festival that Williamson County has ever had to offer. The Arts Council of Williamson County did a fantastic job. Can't wait for the 5th Annual Art Fusion in 2011. I couldn't believe everything was free. No charge to get in and it was all indoors. The Friday evening reception was phenomenal. I highly recommend this show to all artists and art lovers. It wasn't your ordinary show by any means. There was something for everyone.

Re: “Greenhouse Bar

I feel that by being the first to officially review this bar on the Scene I may be breaking some unspoken taboo by letting the unacquainted in on this place. I pray my naivete will not be met with any vindictive reprisals.
The Greenhouse Bar is exactly as its name indicates. It's a bar, planted within a greenhouse setting. Pretty weird, I know. Why exactly would you want to go to a greenhouse to get your drinks, you might be asking at this point? Thankfully, my curiosity led me there to find out why this place even existed.
The very presence of the Greenhouse bar is rather unassuming. It's recessed slightly from the road, with a tiny parking lot in front (though more in back and across the street), as well as a small pea gravel patio area (not exactly a high heel friendly environment) with some outdoor furniture and a little fire pit which is most excellent to sit next to and sip your perfect martini and make new friends on a comfy, clear night.
Inside, there are plants of all sizes, ranging from flowers to small trees, which have been intelligently arranged to give the space dimension in what is otherwise a long and somewhat narrow structure. There are a number of areas away from the bar that still maintain a semblance of privacy, allowing you to have relaxed conversations with good friends, without straining either to speak or to hear others in your company. The bar itself is an island located directly in the center of the bar, providing plenty of space to elbow up to order a drink or to set up camp and enjoy it right there. The selection of beer, wine and liquor is sufficient, though not extensive. That doesn't matter anyway as all you need to order are their French martinis, which are shaken until frothy and taste more appropriately like a pineapple upside-down cake, as well as their mojitos, which are served in small mason jars complete with the freshest of mint, picked from the plants growing there (virtually) as you order them. This is coming from someone who typically prefers straight bourbon whiskey. I unapologetically order them right in from of my male friends. They are that good and the ridicule only lasts until they have their first sip. Also, (I feel awful because I am terrible with names, but) make sure you get them from the guy with the beard and long red hair behind the bar. I swear, the guy never misses.
If my girlfriend and I are ever looking to have a great relaxed night to unwind, weeknight or weekend, either with friends or just the two of us, The Greenhouse Bar is our go-to spot. We love introducing people to it, as they always enjoy it and the unique impression it imparts. If I just blew it for the regulars, I'm deeply sorry. Next round is on me.

Re: “Ellendale's

I've only been here for the Sunday brunch, but I've been several times and it's always good. It's a nice blend of breakfast (eggs, bacon, pancakes, gravy and biscuits, sausage) and lunch (usually some kind of baked chicken with several vegetables) with a fantastic selection of fresh salads. Plus there is an omelet station, where you can get a fresh, to-order prepared omelet made by a nice and entertaining man. Some of the food is a little upscale, and the flavors are really interesting. The service is usually pretty good, but since I've been only during the buffet times, tea glasses can stay empty for a little while. The buffet is a little pricey, but I think the food is definitely worth it. If you go early (around 11), you usually have the place pretty much to yourself, which is nice. Oh, there is also a dessert bar with brie, chocolate fondue, various cakes and pastries that's good, but I usually fill up too much on the salads and breakfast items to get much there.

Re: “Landmark Booksellers

Went in here the other day for the first time! Im a big supporter of local businesses, & this one is just so cute! also got a few cheap fiction books from upstairs(almost didnt realize there was an upstairs- like really cheap $5 hardbacks). If youre walking around downtown frankline mainstreet, keep walking a little farther down main to get here, its worth it.

Re: “Wild Beaver Saloon

We've been going to the Wild Beaver since before we lived here. It happened to be the first bar we visited on a work trip and have continued to go since we both moved here.

Friday and Saturday night KJ Delaney rocks! She's a great singer, too. Our favorite bartender is Kindra. She takes great care of her customers and is always happy too see us. The bar backs and bouncers always make sure the bar is safe, take time to chat, and even get on the stage once in a while. Cody the manager, keeps the place fun, changes things up, and takes the extra step for his regular customers!

Thanks for giving us a fun place to go where you're always remembered!

Re: “Starlite Club

For nearly sixty years, this club is a true born tradition in Nashville. Ever since Mary 'Sis' King first open this club on Christmas Eve in 1952, up to four generations Nashvillians and tourist have made The Starlite their home. This club has stood up to the test of time with live bands and DJ's playing all the hits for all music genres for all types of crowds, young and old. The lovely ladies that serve you at your table show a lot of TLC to make your stay wonderful. And don't forget to take care of your bartenders during your stay. You never forget a better time at the Starlite.

Great bar with great shows and great sound. This place has great local bands all the way up to huge national acts. I would really suggest checking them out! and the drink specials on Monday are possibly the best you can find.
