This place is awesome! They had $2 domestic draught/bottle beer, which is far cheaper than anything else in midtown. Tavern has beer for about $4 and is usually very crowded. Blue Bar was relatively quiet and had a nice ambience. Smoking is allowed indoors and a pool table is available. Not sure if they had food though, but that's okay because all we went there for was for cheaper beer and a good time!
I ordered the chef special to go. I found it all delightful, and enough left over for tomorrow's lunch as well. In addition to the wonderfully alternative food, this place is also virtually unique in Berry Hill since it has a good size parking lot.
Simply the best. And not just if you like burritos, because these aren't your typical burritos. My only complaint, there's not one in the Detroit area :-(
The Pizza is excellent! You'll never want franchise pizza again. I've been there 4 times and tried a different pizza each time. The thin crust is amazing - you know that when you eat all your crust. It holds it's shape. You don't loose everything on your slice when you pick it up; a testament to proper thin crust. It's a very casual setting. The music is a little bit too loud, but I haven't been there when it was crowded.
If you are new to the area, looking for something different, don't have a background of going to church or anywhere in between, we welcome you to Glendale. This is a faith community that includes people of many diverse backgrounds and faith journeys, single & married, old & young.
We come together in worship, fellowship & small groups to grow together, be in service to the community & seek the next steps in this life journey we call our faith.
"No matter who you are or where you've been, you are welcome here" are words that exemplify the spirit at Glendale. Come as you are this Sunday at 11am as we celebrate the life, death & resurrection of Jesus Christ!
THE BEST!! I've eaten at both locations and each time have said, "That's the best thing I ever ate." We keep meaning to try the lamb burger, for which they are known, but every time get sidetracked by the specials. Tonight I had lamb shank with vegetables and rice - absolutely delicious! Hubby had ground lamb & pasta in Mornay sauce - also delicious. You must eat here!
Hillwood is a wonderful and welcoming place for family worship!
Went to Joes' tonight My son wanted to go for his birthday. Had a wonderful time. Katie was our great waitress. She made sure we did not need anything. The Kitchen staff made the best seafood ever. Come hungry it was a hold lot in the bucket to eat, Lobster crabs shrimp and sausage corn and potatoes. They made my son get up and hula for his birthday. What a special time.. Thanks Joe and all the staff.
Best sushi in the city! Always great food and atmosphere, service is a little slow; but you should never be in a hurry to enjoy sushi; have a little sake and relax and enjoy the day.
Great food, Great atmosphere, good service. Definitively recommend to anyone. Finally a healthy restaurant that's not seriously overpriced.
Best foodie experience of my life! Worth every penny!!!!
to the anonymous writer below named "ME". Why would you write something like that about a church. My first question is did you ever go tot he pastor and speak to him. It seems everytime a church grows, those that don't like growth always bring their complaint to money . well to keep moving forward it does take move and just for your info 25%-30% of attenders of church services are the ones who give for the 100% who attend. There are NO perfect church . . . case and point "you say you attended their "A FEW TIMES" . . wow and I'm sure today you attend others also a few times a year.
I have been going to The River for 3 years and Pastor Jerry and Pastor Berry are two of the most God loving Pastors you will ever hear.Pastor Jeff shows his love for God each and every time he preaches.I pray that if any one has been hurt for any reason come back and you will be welcomed back wth tears of joy..
My new favorite place....and it's only a mile from my apartment
Wonderful place. Buffet food bar was clean and well stocked. Waitress was attentive and made the meal more enjoyable. The area has become a global village.
BEST BBQ!! We love this place. We drive from Toney AL to eat at this place.
Awesome, locally owned, just-the-right-size doggie day care (and boarding). Stacey, the owner, is professional and gives my dog just the kind of love and careful attention I want for him. Prices are very reasonable and the service and care given to my dog and to me are second to none. Loyal patron, Kelly S.
Great new addition to the 12th South area. Easily the one of the best high-end dining experiences on the West side. Amazing oyster bar, incredible wine list, amazing ambiance, and a must-try for anyone in Nashville. Easily the best new fine dining experience in town right now.
Re: “FooBar”
FooBar is for folks that want to have fun. Pool tables, darts, DJs spinning great vinyl, people playing a topple game easing pieces out of tower of 2x4s, an additional room with a band playing post Hard Core. My first trip there was very early evening and a Dead Kennedys song was in the bar tunes mix. Ahhhhhh........
