Re: “Farmers Market

I'm still amazed at what a good time I had at the Night Market. I hope it becomes a permanent fixture. Note: parking becomes an issue anytime after 7pm.

Re: “Ri'Chard's Louisiana Cafe

Fantastic food! Best Veggie burger in town. We have them cater at least one tailgate each year. We feed 15 people for less than 100 bucks and there is food left over. Best red beans and rice i have ever had. Food is great. Beer only is the only negative.

Re: “Nashville Dinner Theatre

Saw A Scattered, Smothered and Covered Christmas Musical. The story was amazingly funny yet very touching at times. The acting was absolutely great and there were a few members with some good voices (others not so much). The food was okay - pretty good for the price. It is a cozy environment, but not so much that you can't have a private conversation. Overall an enjoyable experience and good value for the price. I'll go back again.

Re: “Rumours Wine And Art Bar [Closed]

I visit Rumours on a regular basis. The food choices are are limited but fresh and delicious. The cheese plate and hummus are generous and I typically request extra crackers and bread. The wine can be expensive but Rumours does run specials so ask your server. The service is good (prompt and friendly). I love to sit on the patio on nice evenings. Rumours is great for a girls night or date night.

Re: “Puckett's Grocery

What a great place! It's a grocery store with a restaurant, bar and stage in it... I have eaten there about 5 times now and have always been overwhelmed by the service and quality/quantity of food for the price. I have never been there at night for the entertainment but I often hear that I am missing out on a GREAT experience.

Re: “Loveless Cafe

I love this place, the food, the atmosphere, the history, the wait staff and the prices. If you go on the weekend for breakfast be prepared for a long but well worth wait. This is a place I ALWAYS take friends from out-of-town.

Re: “Corner Pub in the Woods

Great place to meet friends or make new ones. The food is great and the beer is cold. I really enjoy the patio. This place is loud and fun!

Re: “Nashville Dinner Theatre

What HORRIBLE experience & what TERRIBLE customer service. First of all, my wife & I live outside of town but I heard their Christmas show - A Scattered Smothered & Covered Christmas starring Joyce DeWitt - advertised on the radio & thought that it might make a perfect surprise Christmas present for my wife in that we could to drive into Nashville, eat at & watch the show over at the dinner theatre on Printers Alley in downtown Nashville, then spend the night in town after the show as we would be getting back very late otherwise. I found a good deal through Groupon and thus purchased my tickets in good faith that they would be honored. None of the tickets that Groupon were selling were for a specific show & they stated that reservations must be made through the theatre. No big deal there so I made reservations for the first available show - which also happened to be be the only show - we we could make. I made the reservation almost 3 weeks in advance and then made accommodations in to stay in Nashville a few days later. Anyway, I received an email just 2 days before the show to ask for "volunteers" to give up their tickets b/c they had somehow "magically" overbooked the show. Since I had reservations to stay overnight in town & this was the only show we could make, I responded letting them know this & that we could not be give up our reservation. However, the very day of the show - just hours before the start of the show really - the people I emailed previously disregarded everything I said & went ahead & canceled my reservations anyway. This was all done without without warning me or even without a telephone call to let me know in person that I was getting bumped. To top it off, all I received notifying me was a generic email stating that they had canceled our reservation & there was nothing I could do. No apology, no no warning, zip! After several unanswered calls to the box office & several more to another contact listed in my surprise email, I was finally able to get a hold of the world's least customer friendly representative who answered the phone & just didn't care. He even told me bold faced lies by trying to push blame on to Groupon for the overbooking even though Groupon sold a dateless ticket & the required reservations were made through their theatre. I could understand if Groupon were at fault & oversold the show but how could they even do that with a dateless general ticket? If it's one thing I can't stand it's being treated like crap & then having someone try to cover it up by lying about it & trying to blame someone else. What a HORRIBLE experience & what a terrible business. I hope they do nothing but fail from here on out & with this kind of service I have no doubt that they will. If you are wise you will avoid this place at all costs so you don't have to go through the same ordeal. BOOOOO!!!!

Re: “Ri'Chard's Louisiana Cafe

This is my favorite restaurant in all of the Nashville area. The food is delicious and well-priced. The atmosphere is warm, friendly and relaxed. I've been to Ri'chard's several times and I've never been disappointed in the food or the service. This is one place you need to go!

Re: “Carmike Hickory 8

At $1.50 for a ticket as of December 2010, this theater may be the best value in town if you can wait to see a movie and yet still want to see it on the big screen rather than Redbox or Netflix.

Re: “Lonnie's Western Room

Lonnie's Western Room is the dingy gravesite for the hopes and dreams of rejected Nashville Star auditioners. From the moment you walk into this janitor's-closet-turned-karaoke-bar, you are assaulted with the coppery, blood soaked stench of aborted music careers and a purgatorial sound that can only be found here. And no, that sound you'll hear is NOT a screwdriver in a pencil sharpener combined with the anguished screams of Bobcat Goldthwait pulling rusted wrought-iron anal beads out of his ass (don't be discouraged... that was my first guess too). With the help of this experience, Lonnie's truly redefines the term "dive", as in "Jesus, I would rather DIVE off the high side of Percy Dam than listen to you sing another f*cking song."

The silver lining? The drinks are cheap, so don't be afraid to pound a few beers while you listen to the "cowboy noir" singing Jason Aldean songs so high that he sounds like Mike Tyson before puberty.

Re: “The Rusty Nail

The lint of Hermitage's butt-crack, The Rusty Nail offers all the biker trash and dried-up bar skanks of East Nashville a place to wet their disease-ridden beaks with a vast selection of sub-par beers, ranging from all of your favorite Mexican brands to chilled hobo urine. Avoid the food at all costs, as it tastes like a cat that was salted and beaten against a tree. The mixed drinks are reasonably priced, but that does little to distract you from being surrounded by people who spent their childhoods locked in the attic. The last time I visited this bar, a man dressed in drag walked in and started flirting with the drunkest men there. Nobody noticed. In closing, for those Friday nights when The Rusty Nail is your last resort, find yourself an expired jug of milk and some livestock to rape. After all, you deserve to wake up with your dignity intact.

Also, they have a volleyball court.

The absolute BEST barbecue and BEST service on music row. The musical talent featured is remarkable as well. HIGHLY recommended!

Re: “Sol [Closed]

The food and service were great. This isn't the usual formula Mexican food found in national or local chains. The menu is well thought out and it all works with an upscale twist. Don't miss the Pollo Relleno.

ALMOST FORGOT... FOOBAR gets 5 Stars. Nashvillescene.com owes me one. Actually two for disapointing my girlfriend.
