Re: “tayst [closed]

Just ok. I had much higher expectations for Tayst, especially as an award-winning restaurant. The food was mediocre and the server had no knowledge of the menu.

Re: “August Moon [Closed]

I am sorry the previous reviewer had such a bad experience, but we like August Moon. It's not phenomenal, but it's good. One of our favorites is the pork with black bean sauce. We get take-out from there a few times a month.

Re: “Miel

I go to Miel on a regular basis. I have had only good experiences there. The patrons around me always look like they are having a good experience also. The menu changes from time to time for variety and seasonality. In my memory, there is alway at least one fish item and one vegetarian item for dinner. There is a bistro menu during the week only that has smaller portions and prices that allow more frequent dining out so that it need not be a special occasion to visit Miel. The restaurant makes a strong effort to buy directly from a limited number of trusted suppliers (farmers and ranchers). They source locally when possible. If something is out of season, you are not likely to see it on the menu. It would be a real challenge to find another restaurant in Nashville with food that is fresher or tastier.

Re: “Stone House Q

I have only been here once, but man was it good! The meat was so tender, the mac and cheese was to die for, and the employees were very friendly! I can't wait to go back!!

Re: “Kien Giang

The BEST so far in Nashville for food, service and prices. Freshness and quick service. First ttimers don't expect server to give you the low down on what's good, or what's in it. Bring someone with you who knows or you just go by the description on a very good photo menu, no matter what you choose, the choice will be delicious. The Bubble Drink is a favorite for kids in different flavors. My favorite is the Honeydew Melon. Refreshing dessert to drink on the way home. Gotta like those mochi rice balls in it...Try it!

Great experience. Every minute was great. So was each course of food!

Re: “Chinatown Restaurant

This place sucks... last time I ordered Beef and Broccoli and got this soupy mess that was watered down. The rice tasted pretty bad as well. I would definitely head down to brentwood and go to No. 1 Chinese instead.

Re: “Miel

Very poor experience, when we arrived at 7 for our reservation we were ignored by the receptonist who kept her back to us while on the phone, finally an different empolyee asked to show us to a table right next to the only other people there. When we asked to be seated at a different table she kept repeating, "what does that mean?". After requesting four times in the most polite fashion, we never were able to communicate our request, somehow we never got the right answer to "what does that mean?".
However, she did note one of our party had a styrofoam cup with a tablespoon of Constant Comment tea left in it and took great offense even after it was thrown away.
We found an alternative restaurant in short order where we were well received.
Meil Resturant..suprising poor quality and worse communication skills, their rude behavior kept us from ever tasting their food. It may well expalin why the resturant was mainly empty at 7 on a Saturday night

Re: “Jim's Nachos [Closed]

Jim's Nacho's is no longer at 4002 Granny White Pike. The new shop that opened there is EL Melino's. They serve Mexican food with a smile and are very nice. Service is excellent!!

Re: “Wild Wasabi

Obviously if you eat hereyou have never eaten at Ru-Sans. DON'T waste your money, sushi was all rice with little fish, the rolls are the smallest I have ever seen and the choices were minimal!!!
Ru-Sans lunch buffet is soooo much BETTER!!!

Re: “Hot & Cold

This place just simply rocks. Fido has always been a staple for coffee in Hillsboro Village, and one might suppose there wasn't a need for another one. However, this small lil espresso bar packs more than a powerful punch with its creatively served offerings. Friendly (yes, they REALLY are) baristas take good care of patrons with coffee beverages (a few of the same items from its next door canine sister), by-the-cup tea, as well as Las Paletas and Jeni's Ice Cream. You MUST try the Olive Sinclair magic shell on your ice cream, or for that matter, just go ahead and take a dark chocolate SHOT too!!

Re: “Stone House Q

Get there while it's hot and before it's gone and it'll be the best smoked and pulled pork you have ever had in Nashville. I don't know how they do it, but they do it well.

Re: “Bombasha Brazilian Steakhouse

THIS STEAKHOUSE DOES NOT DESERVE ANY STARS BUT I CANT POST THIS WARNING WITHOUT GIVING IT AT LEAST ONE STAR. (1) WE MADE RESERVATIONS AND WHEN WE ARRIVED WE WERE TOLD THAT WE DIDNT MAKE RESERVATIONS (2) WE WERE SEATED AT A WOBBLY TABLE IN THE CORNER (3) WAITER WAS RUSHING US TO ORDER AND TALKING LIKE WE WERE IN A AUCTION (4) FOOD WAS COLD AND MOST OF THE MEATS WERE BLOODY AND TOUGH

Re: “Eastland Café

I have eaten here several times. The food is great. The chief has come to my table and asked if everything was good a couple of times. This shows that chief Paul really cares about his customers. I know of a celeb or two that frequent the place so that is a plus. I think it is a cross between a casual diner and a touch of class.

Re: “Taziki's

Great little gem tucked away behind the Whole Foods at the McEwen exit out in Cool Springs. I live over on the other side of 65 and I drive over here all the time.

The pasta special they do on Friday is my favorite but I also love the chicken roll ups. Wasn't a huge fan of the baklava but I'm not a dessert girl anyway. Overall the food is just really fresh and healthy so its pretty hard to go wrong on their menu. This is quickly becoming a regular stop for me and my besties.
