My husband and I have been to this little place a dozen times. We have recommended them to several of our friends. Although we have never felt comfortable w/the atmosphere/attitude of the staff and surroundings (very dumpy), we have tried to patronize this place because they are a minority owned business. I have a saying, "I don't pay for bad service". I have put this saying aside many many times in this place because the staff always seem to be attitudal, angry, and unprofessional. They make you feel as though you are a bother rather than a valued customer. No one ever says.. hello, welcome, thank you, or come back to see us. I can't recall ever noticing a score (too distracted by the attitudes). As of right now, we are done! My husband and I will not continue to put our money into a place that obviously does not care anything about its customers, and care even less about offering their customers a decent, clean establishment. You can't even sit down in this place without someone's butt in your face, or them stepping on your toes. It's painfully apparent that they have no intentions of doing anything except pocketing their profits. For the record.... The greens are always dry (could do w/a little meat grease, and vinegar) the mac and cheese is awful (need to use better cheese and cream) I had the sweet potatoes once and said..never would I make that mistake again! They normally keep the dessert behind the serving area, but noticed that some are now in the drink cooler. Decided to try one and the cake was stale. So long B &C. You have lost two very good customers. The sad part about it is... We don't think that they even care.
Our favorite restaurant during our Nashville vacation. The food was excellent - from sandwiches to spaghetti. Wonderful bread. Atmosphere was very welcoming and we enjoyed chatting with the owner. Will definitely recommend to all our friends visiting the Nashville area.
Ashley's review is probably BS. What's more likely is that Ashley doesn't realize that when you pay your bill with a credit card, they preauthorize for the amount on the check before tip is added. When you add your tip it doesn't show up until the transaction settles with the bank a day or two or three later. They probably didn't call her back because they looked at the receipt and saw that both times they charged for exactly the amount she signed for. In addition, Ashley is probably mildly retarded.
This is my favorite Chinese restaurant. Not only is the food great and reasonably priced, but the service is even better (if that is possible). I would recommend this place and I will certainly be back myself.
This is the best kind of Kurdish food.specially the grille chekin .
The food was delicious. The prices were great. I left very satisfied and well taken care of. Enjoyed the experience and will be back.
My friends and I frequent this place almost once a week. The chips and salsa are some of the best around, and this restaurant embodies everything a Mexican restaurant should be: the prices are low, the portions are large, and the food is good.
Great atmosphere! From beginning to end surprisingly superb customer service! Definitely worth a try ~ when you go be sure to try the signature drinks, the bartender was knowledgeable and friendly! Loved the sangria, it was a treat for the eyes and the palate! Food was wonderful fresh, crisp salad items galore, and the meats.....there are not enough words to describe!

Are you kidding! I did not think we could ever get an Italian restaurant like this in Nashville. Especially on the West Side. I felt like I was walking into a modern restaurant in Milan. The food, service, and ambiance are excellent. I have gone through the menu fairly extensively and there are really no weak spots from the authentic Neapolitan Pizza to the great veal and pasta dishes and out of this world creamy gelato. I could go on and on. I can only put it to you one way GO THERE!!!
It's Japanese food from a truck! Where else are you gonna find this? Incredible food for and incredible price. And also incredible people working it. It's a win all around. It's worth it to buy from it no matter where you go.
I thoroughly enjoy Watanabe for the service and the food. I always order panoply of sushi. I usually order too much, but I like having my own personal buffet. Their fish is top shelf! It’s the only sushi restaurant in Nashville that has real crab and Copper River Salmon. Even the more expensive sushi houses in town don’t offer real crab on their menu, and that automatically warrants a “B” review for them. I’ve indulged in some delicious daily specials – shrimp wontons with mango sauce to duck breast with cabbage in a red wine sauce. The drinks are amazing, with as much flare as Patterson House. The bartenders know how to make any drink you can think of; plus all the classics. They make their own syrups and also have an excellent sake selection. I’ve always had excellent service at Watanabe, and the bartenders are the friendliest in town.
Terrible, greasy American fare. The few times I've gone, I have NOT enjoyed the food - very much what one would expect from a chain restaurant. Plus, every time, parking has been a hassle and there has been a long wait to be seated. Pass it by.
If Jesus, Buddha, Gandhi, and other greats asked, "Where shall we eat?", I'd recommend the Bombay Palace! The food is flavorful, the service superior, and the price perfect.
Flavor, Flavor, FLAVOR! This is hands-down my favorite Indian restaurant EVER! The food is so magnificent-- I wish I could eat more than my stomach allots :) The buffet is awesome, fresh, plentiful, and a complementary mixture of dishes. The waitstaff is attentive and smiley. And the price is SUPER reasonable and worth every cent.
Jesse McReynolds & Friends tonight at the world famous Station Inn doing a tribute to the late great Jerry Garcia of the Grateful Dead (in honor of the legendary musician's birthday on August 1st). This show will be a mix of bluegrass, folk, and rock. Jesse will be rockin' out with Steve Thomas on guitar and fiddle, Sean on the brushes, Marty on bass, and Rod on guitar. A special surprise for the first 10 arriving at the ticket door. For more info on Jesse's latest and greatest release, "Jesse & Friends: A Tribute to Jerry Garcia & Robert Hunter ~ Songs of the Grateful Dead", see his Facebook page on the project or visit www.jimandjesse.com .
I love BBQ and I've tried most every place around here. This is not far from my office (Music Row), so we have gone there a few times for work.
First, if you don't know, Rooster is the guy that owns it (you'll usually see him walking around), and his brother is the one that owned Judge Beans (and has since sold it to some other guys, so the two no longer have a formal business relationship). The menu is similar to JB's in some respects (I get the brisket and chicken wraps at both places), but different in others. JB's clearly took the recipes and dishes and tinkered with it a bit. I like Rooster's brisket and chicken, but I'm shocked that they don't have pulled pork. Maybe it's a Texas thing. But, most of the main dishes are very tasty. I'm not a fan of their style of fries - very thick cut (I prefer thin and crispy instead of thick and soggy), but to each his own. I love the onion straws, really tasty.
The service has been up and down when we've been there. The staff is always friendly, but the food has not always been timely. The last two times our group has gone there for lunch, our orders have taken around/at least 30 minutes to come out, no exaggeration. In one case we had afternoon meetings and told them we would have to leave if it didn't get there soon, which it did. But, then this happened the next time we went. Anything past 10 minutes is stretching it, and this went way over the line. But, other times the food has come out in plenty of time.
I would love to try their steaks, but they are WAY too expensive for a BBQ place that is serving steaks. Or maybe my expectations are too low. If I'm going to drop $30 on a dinner entree, I expect a real plate (not styrofoam) and real utensils (maybe they give you metal ones with the steaks, I don't know, but most times you just get plastic). Maybe it's good, but I haven't gotten brave enough to risk wasting the money.
If I were going to change anything about the place I'd make the service more consistent, add pulled pork to the menu, and make their fries smaller/crisper.
I went on a Friday afternoon that was thoroughly packed. I didn't have anything special on my burger, the mushroom Swiss, as I like my food uncomplicated. However, my brother did have a specialty burger. I had the sweet potato fries which were made well. I loved the children's menu within the books and the patience of the staff. I will probably be back soon.
Expensive and terrible quality. Might as well go to Sonic and save a few bucks!
Re: “The Original Nooley's”
I have heard such good things about this place but when I went it was either an bad day for them or they had a new cook. I had the red beans tried the red beans and rice and a cup of sausage gumbo. Red beans and rice tasted like I cooked some white rice opened up a can of red beans that had been stirred together with boiled onions and about 3 pieces of sausage. The stuff out of a box at the grocery is even better. The same for the gumbo, there is no depth in the taste, it's just very bland. For such inexpensive ingredients to begin with you would think that they would spend a little more time trying to add some flavor. Isn't that what Cajun is suppose to be?
