If Jesus, Buddha, Gandhi, and other greats asked, "Where shall we eat?", I'd recommend the Bombay Palace! The food is flavorful, the service superior, and the price perfect.
Flavor, Flavor, FLAVOR! This is hands-down my favorite Indian restaurant EVER! The food is so magnificent-- I wish I could eat more than my stomach allots :) The buffet is awesome, fresh, plentiful, and a complementary mixture of dishes. The waitstaff is attentive and smiley. And the price is SUPER reasonable and worth every cent.
I can't believe this has not been reviewed!?!?! It is hands down the BEST Indian food in Nashville. I'm not a vegetarian, but I don't care when I'm here. Everything is that good. My favorites are actually on the Indo-Chinese portion of the menu which is very popular in India. If you are looking to blow your taste buds into the next stratosphere, try their: Hot & Sour Soup (better than most Asian restaurants), Szechwan Dosa (East meets, ummm, further East), and Paneer Chili (Chinese with Cheese, hell yeah!). You should also try the Salted Laasi which is better than I've had anywhere in the WORLD. The Chaats are are all pretty good as well. My wife and I usually go with the Papdi Chaat. The service is amazing, these guys don't walk, they run! And if you need awards on the wall to be convinced, they got plenty. Now stop reading my review and go to Woodlands!

Very carefully prepared, tasty dishes & friendly service. There seems to be less fat in their stews and curries than in those of many Indian restaurants. Spice level is American - i.e., 'mild' is generally quite mild, tho' one may encounter variations. We've never ordered anything we didn't like, but we are especially fond of the lamb kadai, chicken sag and shrimp jal frezi. The vegetarian dishes are also very fine.

Re: “Bombay Palace”
Q-dang! I was so pleasantly surprised to find this gem of a restaurant. We showed up for dinner, only to find it empty. We pondered whether that was a bad sign or just a slow night. It was just a slow night! We shared a number of incredible dishes that were complex, spicy and just hands down amazing! The sauces were layered with flavors, velvety smooth and oh so creamy. The palak paneer was my favorite; out of this world! I haven't tried everything on the menu, but I don't think you could go wrong with whatever you decide to order. We loved it so much, we went back the next day for their awesome lunch buffet. $9.99 for all you can eat yumminess! There was a great variety of dishes for the buffet and i completely stuffed myself. Now for lunch, we had to wait. The small dinning room was packed, but again, well worth the 10 minuites we had to stand and salivate while others ate. I highly recommend this place if you love good food!
