love it! just beer and burgers, but the burgers are so delicious! had the stroganoff burger and will have it again when i go back this summer! it really left a great impression.

I was introduced to this great place to eat by an English friend who lives in Nashville. I later took some other friends along. The food is good, with plenty of choice to suit pretty much all tastes.

best burger in nashville -- and it's only $4.50. The staff is friendly, the place is full of charm and it's a nashville institution. cannot be missed.

They serve top quality dogs including polish and vegterian, grilled or steamed on a white or wheat bun (your choice). The kraut on the New York dog is very good and the Chicago dog is the real deal, including the sport peppers, tomato wedge, pickle slice, bright green relish, and cucumber salt. The fries are KILLER; They are perfectly cooked in peanut oil, and more than you can eat are stuffed into the brown paper bag in which they are served. The building is tiny, with a few stools and a small bar along one wall. It's usually crowded so you probably won't want to eat inside, but you can, especially if you are willing to eat standing. Don't worry, there are picnic tables on the covered deck which has roll-up canvas sides to keep the wind and sun at bay, and the food tastes great no matter where you eat it.

I live in S.C.,travel alot, my husband and I agree that Mitchell's Deli is a five star. Breakfast is great also. Would not change a thing! I always buy dozen strips of cooked Benton's Bacon to take back home with us. The staff has never been nothing but polite to all of us including lots of friends that live in East Nashville. Believe me you would know if rude was an issue. We are their at least once a month for 3 or 4 days. We eat there at least 3 times each visit and we get the turkey avocoda to go to eat on our 8 hour travel back to South Carolina. Would love to have a Mitchell's Deli where we live. East Nashville is BLESSED. :-) The Branhams.

THE PERFECT WING!
If Anthony Bourdain were visiting Nashville, I would take him to Richie's to get wings. Seriously. I used to visit the previous location in Madison and was really glad to track him down not too far away. I always get an order of wings and sometimes one of his chicken sandwiches which are very good. But the wings are the star here. I don't know what his secret is but it results in a great balance of spicy and a little sweet, fried just right with texture that makes me have to crunch on the bones too. Richie isn't much on decor but it's a clean and pleasant place to sit, and he is an attentive and courteous host. Note that the location has moved to Hendersonville, next to the skating rink at 750 West Main St. New phone is (615)348-0065.

Absolutely the BEST burgers I've EVER had! And it's decently priced, so you can't beat that! But seriously, these burgers are amazing!

This place is absolutely fantastic. None of the foofy fakeness you find at most of the restaurants around busy areas like Cool Springs. If you want a burger you get a hot delicious burger. You get to fix it yourself so it's always more personal and certainly more delicious than your generic burger joint. Burgers aren't the only thing you can get there though, they also have delicious chicken sandwiches, salmon burgers, turkey sandwiches, shakes, etc. The best meal you can get in this area. As far as quality of food and service goes it is the In n' Out of Tennessee.

I have been to Mitchells at least 10 times and have never been treated badly. I have never eaten a bad meal here. The sandwiches are great! I agree with Julie about the turkey, avocado, and bacon. It is awesome! Nice little place that is always clean and always smells great inside. Worth the trip! A sandwich, chips, and a drink will set you back a $10 spot. So a bit pricy, but 100% better than Subway. Lots of local produce, cheese, meat inside for sale too.

I have been to Gabbys several times over the past couple of months and have enjoyed it every time! The burgers are great. Very friendly staff, limited seating and hours so get there at lunch time... Wasabi mayo, sweet potato fries and delicious desert bars... You cannot go wrong here..

Probably the best hamburger in USA. Wonderfull potatoes too. Simple enviroment (it just hamburger shop) but nice people working there and great food.
