Re: “Shalimar

its funny when people will spend $80 on a bar tab and complain about good food prices. People who complain about that want cheap food, go to krystals is next door if you prefer. I will say, this restaurants struggled a bit. but Recently, This place has become the best indian restaurant in Nashville. Listen, this place has secrets that only loyal customers figure out. (1) ask for suggestions, though the wait staff except two folks, seem shy, they are your best friends. you just need to ask. (2) the meat is of higher quality- kosher (3) order chicken tikka masala; any ENTREE with the word jelfraze or saag (except the veggie side dishes. only saag paneer I like out of the sides); park in the back; (4) bring your own champagne and youll walk out with a bill that would've otherwise been double what you're paying (5) know youre putting good food in your system,

Re: “Pizzereal

My girlfriend and I love Pizzereal! For the longest time, we were searching for good pizza in Nashville. Pizzereal hits the nail on the head with great tasting pizza with fresh ingredients! Their menu is simple, but awesome! They've got a myriad of toppings to choose from, a great house salad and yummy local beers. What else could you want from a pizzaria?

Aside from how great the food is, we love the relaxed family atmosphere inside, and the more Catina feel of the outside seating; perfect for summer time drinks with friends. Another plus is that you do not have to deal with the scenesters from other hipsterias in the neighborhood.

All this, and it's right at five points! We've found it a great place to meet up for food before a show at the 5 Spot.

Re: “Nero's Grill

This restaurant closing is a tragedy for so many wonderful customers as well as the great long term employees with families , I just do not understand why anyone would leave negative comments at a time like this-idiots!

John and Judy, you have done so very much for so many people and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Wishing you well in all your future endeavors -we love you!

Peace, love and joy to all.

Re: “The Wild Hare

Thought they'd hopped out of town---gone out of business.
Constant turnover in the kitchen (tells you something about the help), dirty, quality of food has really gone downhill, over priced, loud, unappealing environment... There are lots of better choices in the area now.

Re: “Firefly Grille

We have been to Firefly many times. It is one of our favorite restaurants in Nashville. It is a very laid back, unstuffy restaurant with some of the best food in town. I love how the chef seasonally changes the menu. The bar is small but the bartenders are "mixologists" who continually serve interesting concoctions. The atmosphere gives an eclectic, bohemian feel which matches staff and owner. Love the place!!!! PS--the desserts are also unbelievable!!

Re: “Eastside Fish

Perhaps I went on a bad night, but being from Louisiana, I find good seafood a little more difficult to find. I did a quick search to find the "best" seafood in Nashville and this restaurant popped up. We ordered the white fish. The fish were extremely greasy and smelled and tasted awful. It took two days to get the smell of this fish off of my hands and out of my hair and my house. But like I said, maybe it was just a bad night for them.

Re: “360 Burger

Stepped in for a few, but stayed for awhile. Cool spot to for date night. Just a bit dark and the TVs could be larger. The food smelled great, I had already eaten but I live close and will be back!

Re: “Swanky's Taco Shop

Went for a late lunch not too long ago. The restaurant was mostly empty. I ordered the fish tacos. The tacos arrived crisp to the point of turning into wood. The amount of breading bests the amount of fish by two to one. THe sides were cold and the veg had an unhealthy brown hue. Sadly I won't be back.

Re: “Chappy's

Never never never again. What a waste of money (over $100 in dinner for two). Worst restaurant ever: food is cold, salty or lacking any taste whatsoever. The waiter brought the wrong plate twicw and an incorect check twice. The green carpet on the floor is old and smells like tobacco

Re: “The Original Nooley's

Roast Beef Poboy is almost impossible to find here in Nashville and it did not disappoint. Of course, they can't get the fabulous bread used in New Orleans but otherwise, it was a very close resemblance to my Roast Beef Poboy from Johnny's. Can't wait to go back!

Re: “Peg Leg Porker

This place is awesome, great food and a real deal Memphis style BBQ joint that is a welcome relief to the oft copied rough hewn lumber and galvanized tin style of so many others.
