This was our first time visiting this location and we told that to the server. We were going for lunch and the food was really good. We ordered a combo platter so that we could try a few things. Our server just seemed like we were a bother to her. She gave me tea and then never refilled it again and even gave me an empty cup when I asked for my tea to go. We asked for a side of sauce that never came, but she still tried to charge it on our bill. She never interacted with our children either, which was bad for a "family restaurant".
It was really sad, because a lot of those little things really add up. The food was really tasty as long as you don't mind bad service.

My first visit to Athen's will most definitely be my last. I know that things happen and I am perfectly fine with that fact but a simple apology would go a long way. I went in for lunch 8/4/8 and ordered a gyro and a drink. When I opened the sandwich I found a nice, big, greasy looking hair stuck to my pickle. I motioned for one of the waitresses to come to my table. When I pointed out the hair I got no response. Not a single word! The young lady simply took my sandwich and passed it back through the window to the kitchen. I approached the counter and simply asked for a refund. As my hairy sandwich made its way back to the kitchen what appeared to be the donor of the hair in question simply asked the silent young waitress "So, what does he want another pickle!"
All I would have asked for was "I am so sorry" or let me get you another sandwich, or Ohh Crap not again! That would have been much better than the non-response received from the waitstaff and the smart remark from the grease monkey in the back.

Re: “Caffe di Pranzo [Closed]”
We had Caffe di Pranzo deliver food to our house for a dinner party and we were thrilled with the food. My favorites were chicken parm and the alfredo, and the children were wild about the spag. with meatballs. We also had Shrimp scampi and chicken marsala, both were great. Dessert was some sort of crazy cherry pie topped with chocolate crumbles(black forest) and it was just delicious! This was my first time dining with Caffe di Pranzo and it could not have been better.
