We got married this year at Sambuca and brought our own priest, family, and friends. The staff and special indoor accomodations were perfect. Everyone enjoyed their delicious meals and drinks on the patio afterwards. I have been to Sambuca many times before and have always had a great experience. Glad that my wife and guests had a good time. Fun times... see you guys soon!

My anniversary was marred by the lousy singer and her accompanyist. The wait staff was pleasant enough, but the food was on the small side for the price and the wine, a half bottle, was a bit on the high side for only a half-bottle.
The singer was doing a countrified version of Sade, and my husband is a big Sade buff, so it just put him out. All in all, the cost plus the mediocre to not good at all entertainment made it the moderate experience it was.

My wife took me on my birthday and we both loved it. Jason, our server, was very attentive and concerned about our experience. I had the filet which melted in my mouth and my wife, who is vegetarian, they made her something that was not on the menu but loaded with vegis and tasted great. The entire experience was great, I'll be sure to go back.

Ate there for the first time Sunday night. Outstanding food in a very cool environment. The ethnic variety could not be beat, and the flavors just exploded in your mouth. Not your typical TN restaurant, but being a CA expat, we felt right at home. You can do well just getting a mix of small plates and appetizers. Service was great. Our waiter was more knowledgeable than most, about both food and beverage, and was very attentive. Would recommend this place to any adventurous eater in a heartbeat.

I've dined at Sambuca many a night and have never had anything less than a great experience. The service is always exceptional, the food is better than phenomenal, and there's something fun happening onstage nightly. Mike Reynolds is one of Nashville's best bartenders and Chefs James Reesor and Mitchell Spivey are a great culinary duo. I'm always impressed and love to introduce friends to the Sambuca Scene. It's been one of the best things to hit the Gulch!

I have been at Sambuca numerous times for dinner and we love the food. Actually have reservations for 6 this Thursday night. It can be a little loud at times with the music however the quality of the food makes up for that. Love what you do keep doing it!!

This place is great. I could never get tired of their Shrimp Masala. The variety of the menu + atmosphere + service make it a unique restaurant for Nashville. I've been eating here for 6 years and have never been unsatisfied. In my opinion, wonderful.

We had made reservations for Sat 4/17/10 for my daughters birthday party for 11 people. There were 8 of us there by 6pm but was told we couldn't be seated unless all 11 was there. I was told the table was cancelled at 6:16pm , that they could only hold the table until 6:15. I believe we were not seated simply because we are African America. This is 2010 and all these unreasonable shady reasons for not seating us is unacceptable and I will be making a report to the Better Business Burea. We were told you would not have any openings until 10pm, which was not true either as we sat at the bar we noted many empty tables. I personally have been in more upscale restuants than Sambuca and would not recommend it to any of my friends or relatives, Oh I forgot thats probably would be just fine with you because they are all black! Excellent, cozy spot. However, I heard it has closed since I was there last year. I hope this isn't true because Mambu was definitely a place I'd return!

Pre Dave matthews dinner was horrible, wanted to drop a line to let you know of our first"(and probably last) visit to this establishment. The food was good. Very unique menu , but the service we recieved was beyond poor, it took us 15 min to get our drinks, I had water due to the designated driver. and with 5 bartenders working it took several attempts to get our second round, we had to stop another waitress and ask her to get our drinks. Several people were around us experiencing the same situation. Very poor birthday dinner experience. The concert was good though.

After having a wonderful experience at the bar we were seated to experience 1 star service. After having to choose from a limited menu.... Some food came out cold and others came out just plain inedible. We did have a party of 8 and knowing how that can be I can understand some confusion. After waiting nearly 1 hour and 45 minutes for our bill WE had to search for a manager.. The managers were just as confused as the waiter... There was nothing they would do other than pay for a round of drinks while they figured bills out (which was nice) but nothing other.. After bad food and bad service we will not be setting foot back in this restaurant... Please don't waist your money or time.. There are other restaurants in town to spend your time and money!
