Wonderful place. Buffet food bar was clean and well stocked. Waitress was attentive and made the meal more enjoyable. The area has become a global village.
I thoroughly enjoy Watanabe for the service and the food. I always order panoply of sushi. I usually order too much, but I like having my own personal buffet. Their fish is top shelf! It’s the only sushi restaurant in Nashville that has real crab and Copper River Salmon. Even the more expensive sushi houses in town don’t offer real crab on their menu, and that automatically warrants a “B” review for them. I’ve indulged in some delicious daily specials – shrimp wontons with mango sauce to duck breast with cabbage in a red wine sauce. The drinks are amazing, with as much flare as Patterson House. The bartenders know how to make any drink you can think of; plus all the classics. They make their own syrups and also have an excellent sake selection. I’ve always had excellent service at Watanabe, and the bartenders are the friendliest in town.
I've become a big fan of the food and atmosphere at Suzy's. Food is always fresh, flavorful, and filling. The staff is professional, yet friendly. This is very creative, upscale Asian cuisine, not Panda Express. Expect bold flavors, rich sauces, and crunchy veggies. I enjoy the Yum bowls the most. Be sure to try the General Tso’s Shrimp (or Chicken). Excellent. The Deluxe Asian Nachos with pulled pork topping are also a great shared appetizer, or meal. The staff at the bar always make me feel welcome. I love this place, and make it a point to return often.
Not a bad Thai place, but I've had better. My meal was heavier than comparable ones at other Thai restaurants.
My husband really enjoy this restaurant. Our favorite Thai restaurant is Basils Asian Bistro. But we decide to switch up one day and tried Jasmines. We have tried several dishes. But, the Massman Curry and Spring Rolls and their homemade ice cream (mango & Coconut) are the ones that stand out the most. The Massman curry is served with Potatoes & carrots & red onion, but we always add chicken. They serve it wrapped in a Crepe. Well its actually thicker than a crepe. Not sure what it is. Then they sprinkle it with Peanuts, and fresh Cilantro. I usually venture out and try other dishes, but hands down this is the best on the menu. The pad thai, was good. but honestly I dont remember it, so I guess its kind of forgetful. Service is always great. We enjoy this place.
love shrimp teryaki mmmmm so good!
Best quality Japanese Sushi in Nashville, and the first place I have ever liked Thai/Chineese, must be gourmet style...
The atmosphere and decoration of Watanabe are nice and new looking. The service was not bad, but it wasn't necessarily good. The food and drinks came in good time, but the server just seemed to be dreading his time there. The food was bad. I have pork fried rice in February. In that rice were fava beans and corn. Those ingredients lead me to believe they are frozen. It was underseasoned, and just did taste like a nine dollar bowl of fried rice. Potstickers were okay, didn't appear to be made in house.

Re: “Virago”
I don't mind paying high dollar for good sushi; but the sushi here is just a small step above Publix sushi. If they're going to be that proud of it, they can keep it.
