they do their best to be of good service and to please each customer. Very friendly to regulars and seem to really care. Excellent customer service in my opinion. I have visited two other locations but West Nashville stands out above the rest. My favorite place by far
I recently got indulge at this little coffe shop with a great authentic cuban taste on the food, price is fair for what it is, a tasty and generous portions, cuban sandwich and medias noches are amazing, friut milkshakes are awesome as well. Empanadas on special at $1, crockets, and papa rellena (stuffed potato) only 1.50!
Now the best probably is the cuban coffee (like a espresso type of coffee) and the pastries and desserts mhmhmh, arroz con leche also.
As far as I knew, there are two rules at Back To Cuba Cafe, rule one, you should order as it reads on the menu (on spanish) and two, no texting while you eating... really?
Well, I kind of got clarify that they suggest and support no to text while you eating, not meaning not texting at the table, only while you eating and got your sacred food (a latin cultural tradition it seems like) but also the enviroment is friendly and not big deal about it, they took care well of our table and the patrons around while I was there.
Definetly I would recommend this little and unique cafe, food and table experience are good!
love it! just beer and burgers, but the burgers are so delicious! had the stroganoff burger and will have it again when i go back this summer! it really left a great impression.
Favorite seafood place - excellent goods
Excellent excellent excellent! It's a very quaint little restaurant in an unassuming strip mall. Dimly lit and clean with a lot of atmosphere. I have read some reviews where people say the dishes are pricey, but this isn't McDonald's and you get what you pay for. Fresh food prepared very well and a LOT of it. Everything I had was phenomenal. You won't find this quality and flavor just anywhere. Well worth the drive!
My new favorite restaurant in Nashville. We had dinner at Riviera Grill tonight. It was truly wonderful; not just very good, but excellent. I've lived in Washington, DC and San Francisco, and I enjoy excellent French cuisine. We had steamed mussels in a white wine, cream and parsely sauce that was delicious. I had monkfish (my favorite and very hard to find) with bacon, roasted potatoes and balsamic reduction. My boyfriend had salmon, pappardelle pasta and a dill cream sauce. The chocolate mouse was perfect - light and airy like few know how to make. I haven't had chocolate mouse that enjoyable in years. I highly recommend it for lunch or dinner. Best of all it is reasonably priced - appetizers are $8 or less and entrees are $12-$20.
FYI - There is plenty of parking in back; so don't let the limited street parking deter you.
Great food at very reasonable prices in this "meat and three" style restaurant. I can hardly believe you can get so much for so little money. All the food is homemade and prepared from recipe right there - nothing out of a box made in some factory. If you want a delicious, satisfying meal that you don't have to wait 20 or 30 minutes to get, this has got to be your place.
Cafe Bosna is the most authentic European restaurant I've been to in Nashville, and my local friends from the Ukraine love the food. The culinary focus is Germany and east Europe. My favorite dish is the stuffed sauerkraut, but all the dishes have been great. The desserts are also great, and you can bring your own wine with no corkage fee. The owner is the chef and hostess, and we always have a great time. Hard to get better than that.
Q-dang! I was so pleasantly surprised to find this gem of a restaurant. We showed up for dinner, only to find it empty. We pondered whether that was a bad sign or just a slow night. It was just a slow night! We shared a number of incredible dishes that were complex, spicy and just hands down amazing! The sauces were layered with flavors, velvety smooth and oh so creamy. The palak paneer was my favorite; out of this world! I haven't tried everything on the menu, but I don't think you could go wrong with whatever you decide to order. We loved it so much, we went back the next day for their awesome lunch buffet. $9.99 for all you can eat yumminess! There was a great variety of dishes for the buffet and i completely stuffed myself. Now for lunch, we had to wait. The small dinning room was packed, but again, well worth the 10 minuites we had to stand and salivate while others ate. I highly recommend this place if you love good food!
Ridiculously good and can't get enough of this place.
God bless Harold James, his pristine establishment lives on.
I ordered the chef special to go. I found it all delightful, and enough left over for tomorrow's lunch as well. In addition to the wonderfully alternative food, this place is also virtually unique in Berry Hill since it has a good size parking lot.
Simply the best. And not just if you like burritos, because these aren't your typical burritos. My only complaint, there's not one in the Detroit area :-(
The Pizza is excellent! You'll never want franchise pizza again. I've been there 4 times and tried a different pizza each time. The thin crust is amazing - you know that when you eat all your crust. It holds it's shape. You don't loose everything on your slice when you pick it up; a testament to proper thin crust. It's a very casual setting. The music is a little bit too loud, but I haven't been there when it was crowded.
THE BEST!! I've eaten at both locations and each time have said, "That's the best thing I ever ate." We keep meaning to try the lamb burger, for which they are known, but every time get sidetracked by the specials. Tonight I had lamb shank with vegetables and rice - absolutely delicious! Hubby had ground lamb & pasta in Mornay sauce - also delicious. You must eat here!
Went to Joes' tonight My son wanted to go for his birthday. Had a wonderful time. Katie was our great waitress. She made sure we did not need anything. The Kitchen staff made the best seafood ever. Come hungry it was a hold lot in the bucket to eat, Lobster crabs shrimp and sausage corn and potatoes. They made my son get up and hula for his birthday. What a special time.. Thanks Joe and all the staff.
Best sushi in the city! Always great food and atmosphere, service is a little slow; but you should never be in a hurry to enjoy sushi; have a little sake and relax and enjoy the day.
Great food, Great atmosphere, good service. Definitively recommend to anyone. Finally a healthy restaurant that's not seriously overpriced.
Re: “House of Pizza/Joey's House of Pizza”
Best NY-style pizza in Nashville! Now Joey's has moved to Elm Hill Pike (just off Fesslers Lane) and is only open for lunch on weekdays. Brentwood location is no longer there...
