Re: “Bailey's Sports Grille

Was in town for a convention, went here to eat. The food was good, the atmosphere was good. All was good until our waiter Daniel B gave me the bill ,we were in a hurry I gave him my credit card he ran the card I signed it. Then I notice the bill had all these other charges on it. I told him and he said oh he made a mistake and put someone else stuff on my bill. Then he reruns a new bill about $45 less I paid that one. When I ask about what happened to the other bill I paid he assured me that only this bill will go thru. Well, we all know what happened next he ran the 1st higher bill and not the second lower bill. Im back in St louis now. I disputed it with the credit card company and Baileys sent in my sign receipt so they closed the case for now. I can write a letter and reopen the case but I just decided to tell my story here. So if you are from out of town don't go here or don't get Daniel B as your waiter other wise you will be over paying and getting ripped off. Oh and I did contact the manager there and he could care less. I think this is a common practice at Baileys.

Re: “Red Door Saloon

This is one of those bars in 5 points that fills up solely on location alone. If you are a local who knows one of the bartenders good for you and the convenience of such. If not, avoid this bar at all costs. Lots of fun until you cash out, and find your tab padded. Good luck trying to disseminate what you actually owe because there is not one person there who cares anything about you when it comes to money and your tab. Pay up or suffer, and these folks will intimidate when they need to. Highly suggest avoiding. The whorish looking dark haired female bartender (not Tracy) will harass you for a better tip and pad your tab unless you call her on it. Good luck getting a positive outcome. I didn't have the cajones to punch her in the face but maybe you will. I write this in the intent to all who read reviews in the hope you steer clear until this bar (a franchise, sadly) man up and accept that they are in the customer service business and we, as consumers, have the power to persuade a company like this to acknowledge its consumer base's needs for fairness or watch it's consumer base boycott its moneygrubbing ways (it is a business that makes craploads off of you for grabbing a few drinks) and encourage the establishment to hire people with a little more integrity. The owner is interviewing via fuck!ng chicks. Steer clear. Way overpriced.

Re: “Beyond the Edge

i witnessed a bartender break into tears and begin berating customers. the reason being that his boss apparently berates the employees when they do something wrong. it's creepy.

Re: “Joe's Place

I ordered a grilled chicken salad at Joe's and the chicken wasn't cooked. I'm not talking like slightly pink...it was still raw! I know a sports bar is probably not a place to have high expectations for food, but come on! Cook your meat!

Re: “Red Door Saloon

avoid!! this is one of those places that will not allow you to relax to the lifestyle or music you enjoy. if you dont fit their "poser" mold, then you will find yourself denied. They even have a sign that says you can not choose Country Music to listen to :( There are many great bars in Nashville that accept everyone...we should be beyond this, avoid this place at all costs.

Re: “Gerst Haus

Food was horrible. Really. Atmosphere was a poor imitation of the old building. I hope the owners are paying a bit more attention to the Sportsman's grilles, I guess this one is a write off. Did I mention that the food was horrible?

Re: “Joe's Place

Great place to go if you like being sucker punched and called "faggots" by the owner and bouncer. I'm told the owner is good friends with many area cops and enjoys getting blasted drunk at his bar and then starting fights with guys who don't regularly drink there. This seems true considering the cop who took statements told us we'd never win if we pressed charges, but that he's is forced to show up there a lot because of these issues. The "bouncer" hit me so hard that my shoes flew off and I was soon covered in blood. He was 6'5" and weighed about 300lbs but somehow was able to claim it was self defense. I'm 5'8" and 160lbs...right...
