Re: “Germantown Cafe

Absolutely one of my favorite restaurants in Nashville. Have been over 10 times in the past year and never had a bad experience. The food is always delicious. The staff is always friendly and they always have great dinner specials. If you are looking for a nice place to go that is not going to break the bank, go to Germantown Cafe.

Re: “Gabby's Burgers & Fries

I have been to Gabbys several times over the past couple of months and have enjoyed it every time! The burgers are great. Very friendly staff, limited seating and hours so get there at lunch time... Wasabi mayo, sweet potato fries and delicious desert bars... You cannot go wrong here..

Re: “Flyte World Dining & Wine

FANTASTIC. Ambience, service, wines, flavors, quality of food...all amazing. Had white Italian wine flyte, salad flyte, halibut, a chocolate flyte dessert, and even tried a Muscat from the dessert wine menu. Savored every bite! Can't say enough about this place. One of the best meals of my life, no kidding.

Re: “Nucci

Nucci's is easily one of the best things about Cool Springs. Owned by Connie and Steve Hovis, the entire family is friendly, capable and eager to please. When it comes to their sandwiches, Italian Ice or gelato, they don't have to try very hard. Everything is always fresh, tasty and consistently what you expect when you order it. The decor is open, inviting and bright. The staff at Nucci's goes out of its way to make everyone feel welcome. If you want something different than run-of-the-mill fast food, try NUcci's. You'll be delighted you did.

Re: “Abay Ethiopian Restaurant [Closed]

The place is wonderful if desiring something different. Ive been several times and have taken many friends who also return again and again. Unlike many of the other Ethiopian restaurants in Nashville, this restaurant appears very clean. The 7-item veggie plate and the 7-item meat plate is great for a group and gives you the ability to taste everything. The food is AMAZING! My favorite is the kitfo (ground beef with spices) and the Awaze Tibs (marinated beef with spices and peppers).

Re: “Lime [Closed]

Lime offers great, interesting drinks with house-made mixers, an inventive pan-Latin menu, and a cool, sophisticated vibe. Despite appearing something of a hipster hangout, I've enjoyed every meal I've had here, and I'm not a hipster by any means. The food and service are terrific. If you come here looking for cheese-slathered Tex Mex, then this isn't the place for you. If you want contemporary, fresh, light Latin-inspired cuisine, then Lime will fit the bill.

Re: “Mack & Kates Cafe & Wine Bar [Closed]

Have enjoyed eating at some of the finest restaurants in the country and was surprised to have such a great experience in such a quite little town. If there were just a five star hotel across the street it would be perfect!!

Re: “Mambu [Closed]

Excellent, cozy spot. However, I heard it has closed since I was there last year. I hope this isn't true because Mambu was definitely a place I'd return!

Re: “Bailey's Sports Grille

A group of 6 of us travelled to Nashville from Toronto for the weekend. The primary purpose was to watch a Bills-Titans game (a few hard-core Bills fans in the group, the rest just hard-core sports fans). The weekend grew to add the Habs-Preds game on the Saturday night. A few of us were also interested in watching the final round of qualfiers for the 2010 world cup. I found Bailey's on the web and was able to speak to Adam, one of the managers, who assured me he would do everything possible to get the Ukraine-Greece game on one of the many TVs in the place. Upon our arrival at noon on Saturday, and in spite of being busy with several local university football games going on (vandy-tennessee, kentucky-ole miss), Adam greeted us warmly and took us up to a private room where there were 6 very comfortable armchairs and several TVs. We were well looked after by an incredible waitress and the only reason we left was that there was a hockey game to go to. We returned after taking in the Bills-Titans game the following day, and watched the afternoon game and also the great Sunday nighter between the Pats and the Colts. Combined with the exceptional live music from the neighbouriong honky-tonks, Bailey's made our Nashville weekend a truly memorable experience.

Re: “Merchants

Every time I need someplace to impress, I know I can count on The Merchants. The 2nd floor is my favorite, with it's intimate atmosphere and live piano music. The food is amazing and I often find it hard to decide between my three favorite dishes. The servers are polite and very helpful, so from the time I valet park right outside the door to the time I leave, I know that I will have a truly amazing experience!

Re: “Caney Fork River Valley Grille

I visited this place for the first time last Sunday and was pleasantly surprised! I ordered 2 pieces of catfish and was able to get one piece blackened and the other one fried. My fried came out great but I have to admit the blackened was a bit bland. Next time I will get both fried. The catfish pond was fun and intersting and the rest of the decor was also awesome. Our waitress was very friendly and on top of things. She let me know that they have All You Can Eat catfish on Wednesdays so I will make it a point to visit again!

Re: “The Garden Brunch Cafe

I went in there after a long trip from Dallas, to be greeted by one of the owners, friendly and very accomodating. Its like coming to a friends house. I sat down to see beautiful rooms, local artwork all over the walls, also excellent photography from a local photographer. I ordered the Salmon Cakes. They were the best I have ever had! My daughter had the french toast, which was perfectly plated and garnished with fresh organic fruit! It was beautiful and neither of us left anything on the plate! I am going to go back there for New Years, b/c it was a wonderful place! i love it! What a local gem! I wish there one in dallas! They also told me they have free wifi...
