Re: “Pancake Pantry

On May 16th I learned on how to be seated quickly at Pancake Pantry. I was having breakfast with friends. The food was good as always. It was raining and there was a line outside. A man and woman entered thru the back door and asked a waitress they knew if she had a table. She seated them in front of everyone else. So next time it is raining and a line, just remember enter thru the back door and ask the tall gray hair lady to seat you.

Re: “Baja Burrito

"A friend introduced me to San Diego style Fish Tacos almost 15 years ago now and I absolutely FELL IN LOVE with them. Since I'm from Ohio, finding the same taste as a San Diego FINS or WAHOO or any number of other places out there has been quite a difficult task. Anytime I visit a city I search online for any place in that city that might serve Fish Tacos and give them a try. Well, I must say, the moment I tasted the Fish Tacos from BAJA BURRITO in Nashville, I knew I had found the exact taste I was looking for. They are as EXACT as anything in San Diego, and eating them was just amazing. It's like San Diego was literally transplanted into the heart of County Music... how wild is that. Not only were the fish tacos just incredible, but the whole experience was an A+ all the way around. I loved the atmosphere. The chips were simply perfect. The guacamole was as good as I've ever had. My wife had a burrito and just loved it. And the staff were very very friendly and helpful. What a great, great experience all the way around. Personally, I'll find a way to get to the Nashville Baja Burrito if I'm within an hour of Nashville... it was that great."

Re: “Cajun Steamer Bar & Grill

I visited this restaurant with a party of six and was told it would be 25 minutes until we were seated. Over an hour later, we were still waiting. A party of 30 monopolized five tables for several hours since they all straggled in over a 90 minute span. These tables were reserved although we were told the restaurant didn't take reservation. The guest of honor for this party of 30 seemed to know one of the restaurant staff, so I guess they got special privileges. We complained about the wait (other people were being seated the entire time we waited), and received a very snotty response from the manager. We were finally seated, but were given no menus or eating utensils. Unless you have unlimited time and patience, avoid this site.

Re: “Pied Piper Eatery

What a great find in 37216! Yes the Monty Python Cristo is enough for 2 but delicious and such an indulgence. The fried dill pickles and onion rings are fried battered goodness. My Dad said the Reuben was the best he'd had in years. Jerry Garcia Frito Pie was tasty and so was the David Hasselhoff (you'll have to go in to see what it is). Their breakfasts are great, especially on the weekend for biscuits & gravy. 4 weeks, 4 great meals - we will be back!

Re: “Joe's Place

Joe's Place is a sports bar that serves delicious pub food & has friendly service. If you're looking for a good Happy Hour, some place to watch your favorite team or just want a place to meet friends afterwork, I would highly recommend Joe's. With Spring around the corner the covered patio is a GREAT place to sit back and enjoy a nice, cold beer. They have Monday night trivia, Tuesday night Karaoke and Live Music Wednesday through Saturday night. It's under NEW MANAGEMENT. They are now affiliated with Crow's Nest, Midtown Corner Pub, Alley Pub and Corner Pub In The Woods. Come check it out!!! Website:JoesPlaceNashville.com

Re: “Corner Pub in the Woods

I've been there quite a few times and every time I've had something different. Everything I had was excellent including the service. The roast beef/provalone steamed sub really stands out. This place is highly recommended for a good meal and a few drinks.

The real deal if you like coastal cooking at its best with Jambalya, Red Beans and Rice and a real good price. Tons of specials like Big Gulf Shrimp and some quality songwriters and bands. Come to have fun and bring the kids!

Re: “Bricktop's

Delightful place to dine. The bar is a bright, cheerful place to dine, wonderful place to take out of town guests to visit and enjoy the marvelous food. Everything, especially deserts, is excellent and I have recommended to many folks. I would make reservations on weekends as I have not been able to enter because so many others have had the same idea that I have.

Re: “417 Union

The food is really good but I don't like the prices. I usually end up spending 10 or 11 dollars for meat and two and drink.
