Re: “In the Heights

Though this is obviously the least of the missteps, for the record:

It's not "the L train," it's the el train, for elevated. Washington Heights is served by the A train and, separately, by an elevated line.

Re: “Brittany Clarke w/Kimberly Carter, Coy Taylor & Adam Sanders

Brittany Clarke's vocals sounded like a cat screaming. Didn't like it at all.

Kimberly Carter and the other bands were good.

We couldn't believe that Brittany was asked to sing at The Hard Rock/Nashville. They even had to restart a song because the band feel apart. NOT GOOD!

Sean, you're clearly alcohol-addled as well as tone-deaf. But, hey, every warm body with access to the internet has an opinion. Maloney rhymes with what deli product?

Re: “Adam Lambert w/Orianthi & Allison Iraheta

Success is the greatest form of revenge. Adam is about love and diversity, as I believe was Johnny Cash. Revenge, mean-spiritedness, etc seems to be what you are about, not un-biased musical or entertainment revue, so maybe you can relate to my first sentance. The concert was a great success in spite of your rediculous , uninformed, classless, homophobic comments. People of all ages, races, etc loved it.He is a showman and entertainer that puts 100% into every performance. His vocal talent and ability is indisputable. He may not be to your taste, but the San Diego Opera Co.,theatre community [Wicked, Hair, Brigadoon, etc.]Rod Stewart, Meatloaf, Barry Manilow,Ricky Minor,{Idol's musical director and now Jay Lenos']opinions are professional and knowlegeable and hold considerable weight. After seeing your baseless comments, you have no credibility and are a seriouly flawed, envious, unhappy individual, are a detriment to this newspaper and to the people of Nashville. funbunn40

Re: “Music City Blues Jam

I feel this jam discriminates against new comers. There is a list, but it is not first come fist serve, it is about who you know. I arrived at 7:00PM and did not get a chance to jam at all. The organization is terrible. There is another jam in town that I did attend and they are open to anyone, this jam is only open to professtionals and they are not welcoming at all! The other jam is at Spanky's in South Nashville, you should be doing an aritcle on them!

Re: “Adam Lambert w/Orianthi & Allison Iraheta

Hey Mr. Gold, if you have a chance to sneak in to the show tonight (and tell Adam how you REALLY feel to his face), I DARE you to do so. Adam needs something to kick around on stage tonight a la Johnny Cash. Fortunately for you, Adam has more class than you so I know he would show your pathetic ass some mercy. However, the fans will probably kick you in the walnuts.
Corpse-raping Johnny Cash? I mean, seriously?!

Re: “Adam Lambert w/Orianthi & Allison Iraheta

Little homophobic are we??? Adam is the most amazing singer/performer to come along in years and narrow minded people like you are missing out big time...your loss really.

Mr. Gold, you are a waste of journalistic space.

Re: “Adam Lambert w/Orianthi & Allison Iraheta

Gee, great article Mr. Gold. Where did you get your degree in journalism, online?

Nice to know homophobia is alive and well in close minded hicks like yourself. By the way, the concert is sold out as is almost the entire tour, fatty.

Re: “Adam Lambert w/Orianthi & Allison Iraheta

After seeing a vomit inducing photo of the author of this article, Im not surprised he hating on Lambert. It's called penis envy ladies and gentleman, and Mr. Gold has a severe case of it. Im also surprised this douche even has a job after reading this homophobic garbage of an article. How embarrassing for this pub to even put it out there.

oh give me a friggin break, this is what journalism has come true? seriously? if you want to be a music snob and be taken seriously, try to write a balanced review. Cue *eye rolls*

Re: “Adam Lambert w/Orianthi & Allison Iraheta

Mr Gold is entitled to his opinion. I saw Adam in Toronto Canada this June and he was fantastic. To all the fans going tonight, you will experience one of the greatest performers of today. In videos Adam is amazing but one cannot imagine how fantastic he is live until you have actually seen him on stage. Have fun and please send lots of videos for us who cannot attend.

Re: “Adam Lambert w/Orianthi & Allison Iraheta

Adam following Diana's rendition of ROF made the song come to life by expressing the passion and the burning love expressed in words but NOT in the original execution by Cash. Cash's version was a pure contradiction between the message and the music, where as Adam made the song "whole". I am sure Mr. Cash would've been proud of Adam and the song's revival.
I hope there are enough musicians and people appreciating real artistry to value the fact that Adam chose to perform in Nashville despite his encounter with Mr. Travis on AI8.
To those lucky to go - enjoy the concert! I am sure it will be truly epic!

Re: “Adam Lambert w/Orianthi & Allison Iraheta

You don't like Adam, that's clear, but your writing is juvinile and embarassing to real journalists. I agree with the person above who said they wouldn't pass Journalism 101 with that article. Ya know, I really think June and Johnny would appreciate and even LIKE Adam's Ring Of Fire. They appreciated music as art and Johnny even covered a Nine Inch Nails song for crying out loud. You might see Adam's version as the amazing work of art that is if you would just open your heart and mind a little and realize it's entertainment ...it's not that deep. ;)
