48 Hour Film Festival Kickoff

When: Fri., July 30, 6 p.m. 2010
Hold on a second — lemme finish this coffee. OK, alright ... now it's time, once again, for Nashville's film and video production community (and the loonies that love them) to get over-caffeinated, uber-stimulated and push the envelope of improvisational organization and sleep-deprivation all in the name of cinema. Yep, it's that time once again when throngs of camera-toting artistes rampage across Nashville's highways and byways to write, shoot and edit a short film all within two short days. That's right, it's 48 Hour Film Festival time! WOOT! Sometimes the results are serious, well-constructed pieces of high art, and sometimes the results end up with Austin from Jensen Sportag throwing grapes into the mouths of punk-rock elves like a lost clip from Fellini's Final Fantasy 8 1/2. Either way, it's the most fun you can have with a video camera and still show your mom your footage
