Chris Stapleton to Bring His All American Road Show to Bridgestone Arena [Updated]

The first time Chris Stapleton played an amphitheater, he was just warming up the crowd.

“So the first time I was ever in a shed, as far as I can remember,” he tells the Scene, “was when I was the first of three, playing acoustic, just me and my guitar, before Lynyrd Skynyrd and The Allman Brothers. It sounds like a really stupid thing to do now, but at the time I was like, ‘Yeah, Lynyrd Skynyrd and the Allman Brothers!’ And then I got out there with my acoustic guitar … and then immediately when I got onstage, I had this feeling of dread.”

Stapleton, a bonafide country star with a Grammy-winning album under his belt and two records due this year, isn't warming up for anyone anymore. And the venues are bigger, too. 

Along with today's release of From A Room: Volume 1 — the first of the aforementioned two records due in 2017 — Stapleton announced he'll be bringing his All American Roadshow Tour home to Bridgestone Arena on Oct. 13, with support from Brothers Osborne and Brent Cobb. Tickets go on sale Friday, May 12 at 10 a.m. right here.

Update, May 12: The Oct. 13 show has sold out, but an additional show has been scheduled for Oct. 14. Tickets for the second show will go on sale May 19 at 10 a.m. right here.
