Re: “The Daily Links: Amy Poehler, Rikers Island, and a View from Space

Finally a judicial ruling that will anger the libtards, now if we can only appoint Phil Valentine to the Supreme Court! Brother Yoyo and I must discuss it at our next Benghazi strategy session...you know the libtards, Phil Valentine and uh..sorry that's all I got.

Re: “It's Time for David Fowler to Commit to Love Instead of Hate

This is easy. The Christians should just decide that being gay is no longer a sinful lifestyle. They claim to know what God says about all this when obviously they don't. The Bible condemns plenty of things they do everyday from eating to buying clothes. They just choose to believe that those things no longer apply. The Bible also endorses slavery. Oops, got that wrong too. Recent polls show a majority of evangelical millennials support equal marriage. The young people in the church already don't consider being born gay a sin. God created all of us, right? Just get on board and evolve on the issue!

Oh right, evolution... Nevermind.

Here's a pro tip, resting your aliases for couple of days and then bringing them back aren't going to make people magically forget the number of times you've been busted for talking to yourself.

Perry quotes facts the right-wing types despise.

john tries to change the subject.

This is my "not-surprised" face.

Just let me have an aside.... what about shooting the fugitive Sweat in the back. Not dead but critical. Matt was executed. 3 shots to the head.

Will there be any disturbances, civil unrest?

Re: “Supreme Court Strikes Down Same Sex Marriage Bans

Here are some actual facts, to the dismay of yoyo and elcom:

"As of March 2015 HHS reported a total of 16.4 million people covered due to the ACA between the Marketplace, Medicaid expansion, young adults staying on their parents plan, and other coverage provisions. According to Gallup that translates to an uninsured rate of 11.9% down from a high of 18% in 2013."

"Obamacare" is working, the rate of health care cost hikes has slowed dramatically, and all the lies told about it from the reichwingers have been proved wrong over and over again.

Re: “Supreme Court Strikes Down Same Sex Marriage Bans

yoyo, I doubt the progressives give a good Goddamn what ACA costs; this is not something they spend any time worrying over.

The bite on the lumpen folk may come too late to arouse them. But, we have the scandals, the gay thing and the Hildebeest's lies to help.

Iran is not helping the French looking sec of state and his Democrat buddies, already embarrassed by the Muslims. Terror picking up, none of this is good for the Dems.

Re: “#MayoralChatter Roundup: New Ads from Freeman, Fox and Bone

Billanthropic- Yup, Freeman gave a bunch of money out when he knew he was going to run for Mayor. Real admirable. The hilarious part is how often Freeman cites those donations as a rationale to vote for him on topics that have nothing to do with it. Immigration issues? I gave to Conexion Americas! Plans for public parks? I gave to Cheekwood! What a joke....

Re: “#MayoralChatter: Talkin' Sports

Well, liberals mostly despise football. If they played soccer before 70K they would love it. Particularly if it were a bunch of clumsy women.

Now, it is a great idea. Gentry and Freeman appear the winners. I am voting for Gentry and for a great new stadium. We need the land and a big stadium a little out.... Nashville is on the move. F*** the progressives. They are dull, dull.

@Casual Observer: Only 11 million have signed up for Obamacare. There are many more who haven't and will be paying penalties. They will be pissed.

Will B Phillips write about the good doctor, Agbuza? It might be a welcome relief.

After the Tennessean article about the candidates income Bill Freeman's generosity stood out to me so much that I got out my calculator and whipped up the candidates' average rate of charitable giving (ARoCG)

Re: “#MayoralChatter Roundup: New Ads from Freeman, Fox and Bone

Hudson,
Beyond being employed by another candidate what causes the disdain? It can't be his charitable work.
Maybe you dislike that fact that all the other candidates gave a combined $82,000 to charity and he gave $331,000 to charity. He gave 4 times what they all gave combined.
After the Tennessean article about the candidates income his generosity really stood out to me.
He gave at a rate of 13.7% and the others average 3.3%.

More promises of money from Wild Bill. At least this one isn't with Metro's money. When do all of the people Freeman has promised jobs, raises or other Metro money to start to figure out that most of them are going to be left out in the cold? Say, second week in September?

Re: “Stories Don't Add Up in Vote for Interim Director of Schools

This feels like some kind of witch hunt and is written in an extremely disrespectful way about those serving on our school board...Sharon Gentry should have had a discussion BEFORE she took the vote on Steele -- but she didn't, because she assumed (I am sure) that she would win...Oops! Now she is being a sore loser! And this column is playing right into her hands with this incredibly biased piece...
I would be more interested in a journalist asking the question of WHY the complaint was filed and who was involved in having it filed -- this was not the brainchild of one person, I suspect? Jay Steele has done a fine job in his current role and was being groomed by Jesse Register for the job as Director - so it's not like we are looking at someone being put into the role of Interim who is inexperienced or incompetent?!?!?!
If you ask me, Gentry is hoping to bully the weaker links of this vote into switching their votes and I pray to God she is unsuccessful...

Buddadog

I agree with you in that the state had a very goofy argument. Seriously, you can only get married unless you can procreate? A ruling for that argument would have effected a lot of potential straight couple marriages.
