Bar opens at 4. So can you have a drink and order a first (app) at the bar?
No. No, no, no. Organic eggs from healthy chickens on GMO-free feed have shown in many studies to prevent heart disease. They contain healthful amounts of protein, vitamin B, omega-3 fatty acids, and many nutrients like lutein and zeaxanthin.
Clinical studies have found that casein, a protein in all dairy products, blocks the absorption of antioxidants and renders them useless to our body. http://nutritionfacts.org/video/nutrient-b…

John Galt - I would love to know where you tried being as it isn't even available ANYWHERE in Tennessee yet. Kinda sounds like a grumpy comment from someone who can't even truly attest to the taste.......... - I was lucky enough to be sent a sample bottle and I have to agree with Chris - This stuff is absolutely ridiculously good!! It is only going to be available in very very limited quantities so grab a bottle if you see one.
They're all talking about Rittenhouse, John G. I'm probably the only commenter who's had it besides you and warned: "If you're an absolute purist about your whiskeys, this may not be the one for you because you might be put off by the almost gingerbready character."
Different tastes for different folks...

Did any of you actually try it?
I did yesterday and I cannot say that I could have been happy to spend $10 for this particular bottle, never mind $70. The taste is almost like some kid added different kinds of candies to an OK bottle of cheap whiskey.
Not a fan, in the least, but am a fan of their Bourbon and of other high end ryes.
This is just a bad combination of flavors.
I grew up on Miracle Whip, and I still cherish the flavor I remember, with paprika and more vinegar tartness compared to mayo.
However, too many chemicals in that product. Not just sugar, but "spice" and "natural flavor," which could be any kind of flavor enhancer, including glutamates -- a headache trigger for me.
Generally I prefer Hellman's but doctored with lemon juice or extra vinegar. Maybe a shot of a good, grassy-flavored olive oil.
Tobin, I _have_ to be brand-loyal to New Balance because they're the only ones who make my size (EEEEEE)!...
I grew up on Hellman's, and, if it's what your Mommy fed you when you were little, you've really kinda been imprinted on it like the famous baby geese who used to follow Konrad Lorenz around.
BUT!, I now have a jar of Duke's in the fridge. This is the second or third time I've tried it over a 2-yr period. It's not far in flavor from Hellman's; I had sort of put it in an either-or category. BUT, now that I know it doesn't include a sweetener, I'm very likely to keep getting it. I'll read both ingredients lists next time I run out. I will probably end up a convert like mike; it's already sunk its teeth into me....
I switched to Duke's a few years ago but before that I was strictly Hellman's. I still like Hellman's a lot, there's just a tang in Duke's that I prefer. I also think Kraft is acceptable.
You're either a mayo or mustard person? I didn't know that. I'm a ketchup, yellow mustard, dijon mustard, horse radish mustard, honey mustard, hot mustard and mayo person.
Hellman’s Mayo, along with New Balance shoes and Louisiana Hot Sauce, is once of the few things I'm brand loyal to.
Pogo ftw!
Has anyone tried grape-seed mayo ? It only comes refrigerated, but it is also very good. Like homemade.
I prefer the taste and texture of Duke's, though i rate Hellman's a close 2nd. Of course, I was raised in a Miracle Whip family, so you should perhaps take my opinion in the matter with a grain of salt (and perhaps a grind of pepper, squeeze of lemon, and a healthy dash of hot sauce too!)
I'm both a mustard person and a mayo person, though you wouldn't know it from looking in my refrigerator. I have 4 types of mustard and even pickled mustard seeds and just one lonely, rather old container of mayo. I really only use it in pimento cheese and egg salad (which also gets a solid mustard treatment). If I had to choose only one, it'd be mustard. Though I'd miss the mayo for my fries.
Tex - when i make a sandwich, i like put a schmear of Gulden's atop my mayo - on both sides of the bread. if pressed to choose between condiments, i think i'd choose mustard. and i don't have a favorite: dijon, spicy, yellow, grainy, gimme all the mustards.
however, this is mayogate, and i'm partial to Duke's for the aforementioned reasons.
If you're intent on being a mayonnaise snob, you really should make your own, but if you want to be a lazy mayonnaise snob you can probably justify using anything you like, up to and including Miracle Whip. Of course, if unsweetened mayonnaise tastes weird to you you can always sprinkle some sugar on your tomato sandwiches to compensate.
That said, the only mayonnaise they sell at Costco in less than a vat size is Duke's, which happens to be a perfectly servicable mayonnaise--especially for pimiento cheese.
When I first made mayonnaise, I didn't like it because it did not taste like Hellman's. ( The recipe did not call for any sweetener.) I thought I was doing something wrong. Then I tasted Duke's. It tasted homemade.I use both now. Duke's for sandwiches and I have to use Hellman's for potato salad and layered salad.
Nicki. Try adding a couple of drops of ballpark mustard to the Hellman's Light in addition to the lemon. Also, if you gently heat it, it makes a pretty good low-fat Hollandaise.
I originally took exception to your comment that using Duke's wasn't "southern". Duke's is originally from SC, while Hellman's originated in a deli in NYC, and Kraft is based out of Chicago.
I'm not a big mayo person, but when I do use it I use Duke's. I don't like the added sweetness of the others, and I think that Duke's has more of a rich, yolky taste. (Hence the more like homemade comment).
