Re: “Register Calls for Closing, Chartering, Mandating Choice for East Nashville schools

Hunchbak,

I think probably most on this board are misinformed, misled, corrupted by the media, their schooling. but they would not post anything as awful as Avi has. They are smarter than that, I believe (hope).

Anyway, is Avi a woman? I tend to think so but do not have a feel for which category of female.

Re: “If Religion Fixes Everything, Then Why Does Everything in this State Suck So Much?

I suspect that the data doesn't bear out the acting commissioner's assertion.

But science, schmience. Moar jebus for all!

Betsy, I suspect you are about to get some posts that will flame you to a crispy golden brown. You will also get posts from other people who will say that some things done in the name of religion are horrible.

It could be a busy day.

Re: “AP: Haslam Failed To Sign Bills By Required Time

Good Friday is specifically referenced in statute as a state holiday. But the problem just might be that while the Constitution specifically excludes Sundays from the 10-day signing period, it does not carve a similar exception for state holidays. So if a signing deadline for a particular bill is Good Friday, that's the absolute deadline . . . you don't get until Saturday to sign it.

That was sort of a "stream of unconsciousness" post.

Re: “Yeah, Man, It Would be Terrible if Someone Came into a Windfall and Still Got TennCare Money

I might have to give Donna up. Every time I try to get her attention, the tables get turned on me somehow. Plus, my purse got stolen at Wal-Mart.

That's right -- snatched! And come to find out, one of Donna's cousins is on the police force! I won't go into all of it, but I turned my head for just a second, and some Maury County miscreant stole my purse right out of my buggy! It was a yellow macrame number like Donna's!

On top of that, I got lost six times trying to find that blame Wal-Mart! That dang Mattel GPS! But I found it. I had on my wig and my new outfit, and as fate would have it, Donna wheeled into the parking lot and got out. What luck! I followed her into the store, and she went straight to the deli. Come to find out, one of her cousins works in the deli. And two of her cousins work at the courthouse. I won't go into all of it, but how many cousins does that cow have? It must be hundreds.

I began to have a feeling Donna's kinfolks spy and do other clandestine stuff for her. I don't know why, but I just have that feeling. That one in the deli seemed to have eyes in the back of her head watching my every move. My psychiatrist said -- well, never mind.

Donna either did not notice or did not care that I was looking for help to transgender, even if it was fake since I don't really want to be a cow. No, she walked on by like that Dionne Warwick song and headed over to the produce section. After she got over there, she held up a celery stalk like it was some kind of signal. I thought, "Wha...?" Her deli heifer cousin stepped back and glared at me with that shower cap thing on her head and recommended the ham. A guy who looked like a Church of Christ preacher spoke up and said, "I'd hang him in the smokehouse till he's cured of that."

I knew then I should have applied more foundation. And gone for a closer shave.

After the police came and took my report and Donna told her cousin to lock me up, I noticed a guy in a dress and pearl earrings riding a motorized scooter through the store and getting high-fives and hugs from everybody. The scooter had bumper stickers all over it and two American flags flying from it. Later, from the police car, I saw the guy driving the scooter down the side of the road, and everybody was waving to him/her.

I think Maury County is a very schizo, clannish place and it is too far to go to stake out Donna. So I am just going to stalk her on this blog. That way I don't have to leave the basement. Plus, I think those bovine cousins of hers have computers, and I need to get on that.

None of this has turned out like I planned. Donna has been nothing but trouble -- siccing those hackers on me and now causing me to lose my billfold and forty dollars' worth of makeup. Plus the bail and court date.

Still, I am trying not to call her that word that rhymes with "witch," because I think she is keeping a list of all the times I have done it. But hell, this is the men's locker room here! Next best thing! What do you expect? Sure, we have to throw those Democratic heifers some hay now and then, but we can't let the real thing in here! It would ruin everything!

Yeah, I'm a yellow dog Democrat and also just a yellow dog, but ... you know ... I have a thing for those law-and-order conservative women, even though I try to shut 'em up, of course. So, even though Donna may slip behind the curtain and into the barn and away from my faithful monitoring, there is always Marsha, Sarah, Megyn, etc., even though those witches are carrying on over nothing. Hell, I'm a lying, empty-suited dictator myself and it's never slowed ME up any!

I would get a thrill out of knocking the blocks off all those uppity women.

Hillary 2016.

If you take 1,000 Ghosts and lay them end to end, they still wouldn't reach a point.

Sharon Gentry won. Private business runs public education these days. Hence its enthusiasm for charters, vouchers, and standardized testing, all of which all profit the private sector.

"He has been governor for almost four years and still has trouble with the whole concept of "counting"!"

Isn't he the product of superior private schools?????

Could it be that by allowing these bills to backdoor into law, he has built himself a handy alibi of plausible deniability: he didn't sign them into law, he is not to blame.................directly! His excuse fails to hold water IMHO, but that matters little in the final analysis.

Re: “Bordeaux Community: What Happened at Woodland Hills?

"Sometimes kids get into trouble, regardless of the best parenting"

Even though some on here will undoubtedly disagree, you speak the truth. There is a very thin line between getting in trouble and getting away with it, not to mention the line drawn between who gets in trouble and who doesn't (yep I played that card.
Most of us as young men and women had ample opportunity to cross the line, and many of us did. Some turn this way, others turn that. My best friend in High school ended up as a drug addict and ended up robbing drug stores and going to prison. I went to the service or I may have been right there with him, though I would have hoped not. he had fine family, a father as a world renown photographer and a mother active in the church, which is where I meet him.
Opportunity and poor choices makes for bad lives and it is easy to take the wrong way. While many of these young men may have been criminals in training, it is wrong to think that given the proper support and opportunity some would be reclaimed. That is unless some trigger happy shoots them for some reason.

Avi Poster combines the best of logrolling, smoke-blowing-up-your-ass, kissing ass, corporate buzzword bingo and Jesse Jackson-faux intelligence via big words.

In other words, (s)he is about 100% smarter than 90%of Pith posters.
