Re: “A Family Affair

Rest in peace CC Suratt. I hope she suffers for what she did. My family didn't have the easiest of times dealing with his death by her and her lovers hand.

Re: “There'll be no absolution for the man suing the Sisters at Aquinas College for reverse discrimination

Peggy Daniel, Lydia Grubb, Theresa McLean, Suzette Telli, sister thomas more and sister Mary Peter O.P., and sister Marie Caritas are your key players here. They are a bunch of nut-jobs. They all teamed up and retaliated against Blizzard immediately after he filed a discrimination complaint against Peggy Daniel. But, Blizzard employed one bad-a** Sun Tzu strategy and defeated all of them. Literally, Blizzard out smarted an entire pack of hostile professionals with Masters degress and even PHD's, and JD's. That's right, Sister Mary Peter O.P. is a JD and Blizzard squashed all of them. It was divine to watch him employ such a genious strategy and take these jerks apart bit by bit.

Peggy Daniel is an extremely lazy person, hot tempered, and extremely ignorant and compensates by walking her troll-self around like a big-shot bullying everyone around her. Daniel thinks she's really smart and powerful too, she's just totally deluded. Blizzard took her down without a scratch.

Blizzard set a brilliant Sun Tzu trap and these arrogant, feminist bullies just walked right into it, and now these women are in deep water, and they can't get out. Sink, or tell the truth. They are facing personal liability, and a Federal jury trial that is quickly approaching. LOL These old ladies are the Aquinas Bully coalition who have been pushing around, intimidating and destroying students lives for years, and now they are going to answer for it, thanks to Blizzard. This old-guard has no regard for the dignity of males, no regard for right, or wrong. They are the most unethical bunch of pin-heads ever. They are monsters!

FYI: 1. sister Caritas hasn't been a 'sister' for very long. In fact, the 'good' sister was a secular business woman and rumor has it she's got a bit of a past. Would be interesting to know if she's going to lie about her past on the stand at the trial? 2. Lydia Grubb authored a 'soft-core' sex book called 'doing chemistry.' Gubb is like 75 yrs old, it's just gross and creepy 3. And, according to one nurse who was a student of Lydia Grubb, she said Lydia Grubb grabbed her by her pony tail in clinical and dragged her down a hall! Peggy Daniel evidently has a history of confrontations with males that fit Blizzard's profile. She has issues, rumor has it, with handsome men.

Peggy Daniel evidently has a very shady character and has been flunking nursing students that make complaints, and flunking nursing students to double revenues. The word is now circulating that Peggy Daniel has even been instructing clinical instructors and teachers to flunk students who were passing just to double and triple the nursing program's revenues by offering the students the opportunity to repeat a semmester. Must be good money peggy. But what does Peggy do when a clinical instructor refuses to engage in such unethical and criminal behavior, lets see (Nancy the clinical teacher?) (She's given female students waivers on tests they couldn't pass, and denied male students the same. Peggy Daniel has evidently covered up errors made by female students who were her family members and nursing students, errors which were grounds for expulsion from the program but graduated them anyway, only to consistently flunk other students who did nothing wrong and who were making consistent passing grades.

Somebody posted the initials of the two girls names who supposedly wrote the hate mail and put it in Blizzard's school mail box. But, here is a more comprehensive list of students and teachers who were, according to some and some facebook postings, working on the periphery and internally with Suzette Telli, Peggy Daniel, and Caritas to fabricate what appeared to be a case against Blizzard to justify kicking him out of the program, with the hope to hide the fact they were all working in concert and complicit in retaliating against Blizzard for filing a complaint of discrimination. Basically these people worked together to generate false complaints against Blizzard. Here's the list of some of who I've heard were involved in the retaliation against Blizzard:

Student/employee: Peggy Logan (evidently a major player in the whole scheme)
Student/employee: Christina Muksian (Said to be Peggy Logan's girlfriend)
Student: lauren Brock
Student: Savannah Swaringen
Student: Brian Lassiter
Student: Leslie Eaton
Student: Julie Boyle
Student: Rachel Bower
Student: Sara Anthony
Teacher: Lori Kelly (also, at Daniel's directive flunked a hispanic male student without basis)
Teacher: Barbara Evans
Student: Katie Hayes
And More.............................................................................................

Aquinas! you are one messed up school. And if my information is sound, you deserve to be punished! And so do these students and teachers. They should all have their nursing licenses revoked and be charged criminally.

Re: “Smokers' Bill of Rights

I recently was told by a corporate company that I was not allowed to have my own hobby or business on the weekends. It is not in conflict with my job (real job). It doesn't sound legal for them to tell me I can't have my own business or hobby!

Re: “There'll be no absolution for the man suing the Sisters at Aquinas College for reverse discrimination

If Mr. Blizzard has the Aquinas counselor Sandra Wills on tape stating that..."Wills admitted that female students have been known to conspire with administrators to oust male students by making false reports." This is collusion/conspiracy! And Sandra Wills stating this: "Wills...told him [Blizzard] he fit "the profile" of men who often wind up at loggerheads with Aquinas instructors: "Tall, big in stature, handsome and not intimidated. ..." WOW! Any knowledge of this nature possessed by a professional and licensed therapist requires counselors to report these facts to the proper governing agencies to ensure the abuse stops. Licensed counselors have an ethical and fiduciary obligation to prevent further abuse of any student once the therapist becomes aware of the abuse. And, allowing abuse of students at Aquinas, or any school, to continue while having knowledge of it is a blatant miscarriage of a counselor's ethical and legal obligations.

Re: “There'll be no absolution for the man suing the Sisters at Aquinas College for reverse discrimination

I'd disagree with the term reverse-discrimination as the author puts it. Blizzard, being a male nursing student, is in a protected class. He, and other male nursing students, are considered minorities. Therefore, Blizzard's claim should be just discrimination, not reverse discrimination. I think the author completely missed that fact. But, besides that, I think this is a well written article that is very telling of the Catholic mindset still, in the 21st century, being completely enveloped in a bubble of arrogance, rage, and bigotry because change, challenge, and diversity terrify Catholics. My wife went to Aquinas and remembers Mr. Blizzard. She told me she knows Blizzard was targeted for leveling Ms. Daniel with a discrimination complaint. That is evidently when the war between Blizzard and the college began. My family is praying that Blizzard and his family are victorious.

Myth No. 1: Title IX is controversial

"I'd say that is the biggest myth out there," says Hogshead-Makar, who is also senior director of advocacy for the Women's Sports Foundation...The vast majority of the public wants men and women to have equal educational opportunity...

The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness, and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!

Re: “The coming legal clash between The Contributor, the ACLU and Brentwood tests the limits of free speech in Middle Tennessee

I guess what you are all saying that is okay for an affluent man or woman have dirty little secrets -like a mistress on the side, or a sugar daddy. Have weird sexual habits, but not okay for a homeless to battle with a drug addiction. As though you are all no different?

I find this perplexing. I find it even weirder if some of you may have Church affiliations or spiritual persuasion that is. The math is not soundly based. Not every vendor could easily sell or make that marginal profit. Vendors are very common in Urban cities. I don't understand why Nashvillains are so hostile to this way of commerce. I think considering this election, crucial times, one can't assume each vendor has some sort of alternative motive. I find these judgements and comments emotional reactions about something internal in their own life.

When you cast such harsh distain for people, more than once, it tends to be rooted out of your own unhealed wounds whatever that may be: rejection of some sort-past or presently noted. If you all are so worried about homeless people "RUINING' the beautification of your pristine Stepford wife charade. Then maybe you all should volunteer or donate to homeless shelter. I notice a lot of Obama campaign signs in Brentwood. For all you democrats, shame on you for passing the first stone. Where is the peace and love you all cry for and claim. To all the Republicans, no wonder liberals shake their angry cold fist at you. Have you no mercy?

Re: “The coming legal clash between The Contributor, the ACLU and Brentwood tests the limits of free speech in Middle Tennessee

This is ludicrous. People have problems regardless of being homeless or not. Unhealed wounds revert back to old patterns when community lacks support and unity. I think all of this is kinda weird. I am kinda ashamed to say that Southern hospitality has been drenched with distain for this paper. I am free-lancer writer from New York City that has moved to the Nashville area.

I think considering the world, the economic state we live in, and having compassion. What is wrong with having homeless people in your community. Are you guys too good for that? I hope you all don't call yourselves a Christian because your ethical standards are pretty disrespectful. I have seen many homeless people in New York City growing up. I wonder how many of you men and woman secretly do shady things without people knowing: porn, marrying men who have money to put a Tory Burch flat on your feet, nice blonde highlights. Are you all in debt? WHat is the diff ppl a homeless person or a functional addict with materialism.

Now I can see how stoic, hard-faced New Yorkers have had more grace and compassion towards homeless than the Nashville area.

Re: “Number One With a Bullet

I was thinking back to a studio session that I had in Phils studio in Tampa in 1969. I wondered in and played a few of my originals and he asked me to meet with some of the local musicians that he was working with and see if we could do some arrangements. We all set there on the floor in the studio and spent the day playing.
This evening, I thought, "I wonder what ever became of Phil" and found this article... I'm sorry he is gone. As for me, one thing led to another and I moved on. Life is good!

Angela Tuck is an outstanding journalist and veteran news leader from The Atlanta Journal--Constitution. I love this story and just finished a related column about my ties to the new Alabama Freedom Riders Park (groundbreaking 10/18/2012). I mention my strong Nashville connection, including my Uncle Cupid Poe, who was student body president of Tennessee State University from 1959-1960, when the Freedom Riders networking in the Nashville Student Student Movement were organizing: http://blog.al.com/montgomery/2012/10/my_t…
