Re: “Commodore Grill

I don't know about the music -- but the food is mediocre at best and the drinks -- $10 for a glass of watery, tasteless sangria, really?

Re: “3rd & Lindsley

We had three tickets for the Mavericks show, which had been postponed twice. It was scheduled to start at 8 pm, but we showed up at 6 pm, because we knew from experience that good seats would be gone early.
We stood in a long line, and when we got in, there were NO seats left. The lower area, in front of the stage was completely empty of tables. People looking for seats were forced to stand, elbow to elbow, in any space they could find.
Because we simply could not stand for 4-5 hours to get through the show, we simply left. We are out the $60+ for the tickets, and 3rd and Lindsley is out not only the $100 or so we would have spent, but also any future income from us.
I will NEVER go back!

Re: “Sweet-n-Sassy Bakery

Sweet and Sassy offers the worst service I have ever experienced. I ordered a wedding and grooms cake and paid in full. The wedding was canceled and the manager offered to allow me to pick up the cakes at a later date. The problem came when I spoke with the manager/owner Allison who refused to provide me with any service even after the 1st manager stated that she promised the cakes at a later date. Allison was very rude and provided no customer service at all. If you want to have your money stolen, than use Sweet and Sassy, they won't let you down.

Re: “Ri'Chard's Louisiana Cafe

This was bay far the worst dining experience I have ever had! My wife and I went to Ri'Chards on a Saturday night and the place was nicely filled with locals who seemed to be enjoying the music, but not the high priced lack luster food. I could smell the old frying grease so strongly you think we would have known not to order food either. We got the worse sevice, which included bot getting napkins or silverware. My wife order gumbo (IT WAS SERVED COLD and looked very dark and gritty). The jambalaya was some overcooked boxed rice thaw was cold and mushy with tough overcooked and probably old chicken and sausage. To top it off we got the racist stare the entire time we endured this meal.

AVOID THIS PLACE!!!!!!!

Re: “Dizzy's Dog Wash and Corner Store

Get yer dog washed or DIY, diverse stock of quality pet products and a knowledgeable lady running the show. Her husband is a great guy and is the receptionist for the dog wash side. Interesting people hang out on Saturday in the yard waiting to wash. Reservations recommended!

Re: “FooBar

FooBar is for folks that want to have fun. Pool tables, darts, DJs spinning great vinyl, people playing a topple game easing pieces out of tower of 2x4s, an additional room with a band playing post Hard Core. My first trip there was very early evening and a Dead Kennedys song was in the bar tunes mix. Ahhhhhh........

Re: “Mama Mia's

On a lark my son and I went Mid-December 2012, had a good meal and a nice time. We decided to have Christmas Eve dinner there with our group of 8. We had good service and food, again. It was laid back, pleasant and a surprisingly good meal. We enjoyed the out of the way-ness of it and family feel.

Re: “Castrillo's Pizza

I called Castrillo's one evening at 4:30 to order; got voicemail stating "we are closed from 2-4 p.m." Called again at 5:00 to get same recording. At 5:30, I ordered elsewhere. Later that evening, I emailed Castrillo's to let their owner/manager know of the oversight on voicemail.
The response was shocking! I was told that there was an event that kept them from opening until 6 p.m. What about the voicemail? Their owner told me he didn't care if I went elsewhere since he had 5.000 happy customers. In fact, he told me "good luck."
Perhaps, if they took care of customers, they would have 10.000 customers by now. Will I ever eat at Castrillo's again? Hell, NO!

Re: “Blue Bar

This place is awesome! They had $2 domestic draught/bottle beer, which is far cheaper than anything else in midtown. Tavern has beer for about $4 and is usually very crowded. Blue Bar was relatively quiet and had a nice ambience. Smoking is allowed indoors and a pool table is available. Not sure if they had food though, but that's okay because all we went there for was for cheaper beer and a good time!

Re: “Sunflower Cafe

I ordered the chef special to go. I found it all delightful, and enough left over for tomorrow's lunch as well. In addition to the wonderfully alternative food, this place is also virtually unique in Berry Hill since it has a good size parking lot.

Re: “Los Arcos

For Mexican Food by far this is my favorite spot in Nashville.
Service is great, food is delicious, and the decor breath taking. I took my mom for her birthday, they went out of their way to make her a fresh made margarita instead of serving her a house made with cheap tequila that only gives you a headache. I was impressed, that little detail has me going back at least once a month.

Re: “Nuvo Burrito

Simply the best. And not just if you like burritos, because these aren't your typical burritos. My only complaint, there's not one in the Detroit area :-(

Re: “DeSano Pizza Bakery

The Pizza is excellent! You'll never want franchise pizza again. I've been there 4 times and tried a different pizza each time. The thin crust is amazing - you know that when you eat all your crust. It holds it's shape. You don't loose everything on your slice when you pick it up; a testament to proper thin crust. It's a very casual setting. The music is a little bit too loud, but I haven't been there when it was crowded.

Re: “JC's Bullseye Sports Bar

Very unprofessional owner... disrespectful to bands... they're treated worse than the cleanup staff... often short or do not pay the bands... VERY dirty kitchen (roaches)... and unattentive bar staff that always seems ticked off that they have to work.
NOW.. that being said... the WAITRESSES are exceptional... it's a shame they only stick around 3-4 weeks before moving on to a better place (kind of speaks for itself, doesn't it?)
