The Adventure Science Center isn't just for snot-nosed kids anymore--the local science museum is opening up its new crown jewel, the Sudekum Planetarium, for after-hours showings at discounted prices. Now, no matter what the weather, date night can involve a night under the stars--without turning to reruns of Battlestar Galactica. Every second Saturday of the month, the planetarium will screen STARS, a 26-minute show exploring the powerhouses of the universe and featuring a narration by Mark Hamill and music from the Nashville Symphony, and Skies Over Nashville, a traditional tour of the constellations, planets and other astronomical signposts.
