Wild West Comedy Festival to Feature Marc Maron, Bill Burr, @Midnight & More, May 15 - 18

We've heard rumblings about a comedy festival elbowing its way into the theaters, clubs and music venues of Nashville for some time now, but it wasn't until today that those plans were finally brought to the public. The Wild West Comedy Festival — which, by my count, is Nashville's very first comedy festival — will take place across multiple venues in Music City on May 15-18. If you're a stand-up comedy fan, you may commence with freaking out.

Along with already announced performances by Aziz Ansari at TPAC and Dick Gregory at Zanies, Wild West Comedy Fest has put together a line-up that is, in a word, bonkers: Bill Burr, Marc Maron, Demetri Martin, Ralphie May, The Office's B.J. Novak, Nick Swardson, Aisha Tyler and Dennis Miller are just a few of the major performers that will perform at venues that also include Ryman Auditorium and Third Man Records.

What is perhaps most exciting, assuming you're not a Dennis Miller Live super-fan, is the news that Chris Hardwick will bring @Midnight to the festival for two live episodes, shot in TPAC's James K. Polk Theater. The show, which combines social media nerdery with the tried-and-true format of comedian game show panels, pits three comedians against each other in increasingly silly games, based in current events and social media.

Tickets go on sale today for individual shows, with VIP packages going on sale next week. Tickets, as well as a full line-up of performers, can be found on the festival's website.
