What To Wear To a Spring Breakers Screening, Feat. Opening Ceremony and NYLON

Posted By on Fri, Mar 22, 2013 at 12:11 PM

I'm the only one at Scene headquarters who hasn't yet seen Spring Breakers, so the duty to attend tonight's in-theater premiere falls squarely on my fashion-conscious shoulders. Luckily, Opening Ceremony totally has my back. The New York-based shop also has outposts in L.A. and Tokyo, as well as a strong Web presence. And they've just launched an exclusive collection inspired by the subject of this week's Scene cover story, Spring Breakers. And NYLON mag has curated its own collection of wares to fill in the gaps.

Scroll through some of our favorite looks after the jump, and grab what you can on the shops' websites.

From Opening Ceremony:

Pack your bags and spray on the tanning oil. The countdown is over. Today, the Opening Ceremony x Spring Breakers collection launches exclusively at our US and online stores. Created together with the movie's costume designer, our partner in crime Heidi Bivens, the collection includes everything you need for the best week of your life.

Inspired by the film's bikini-clad girl gang, Brit (Ashley Benson), Candy (Vanessa Hudgens), Cotty (Rachel Korine), and Faith (Selena Gomez), as well as local thug/rapper Alien (James Franco), the collection provides T-shirts with neon graphics, sweatshirts printed with the cheeky slogan "DTF," and basketball jerseys featuring logos designed specially for each character. The symbols—a pair of dolphins, a marijuana leaf, dripping ice cream cones, an inverted cross, and an alien—also appear on sweatpants and sweatshirts. Rounding out the packing essentials, solid and printed bikinis come in the eye-popping fluo shades of the film's "girls gone wild" party scenes.

This one says "DTF" on the back.

The puff-paint style appliques glow in the dark.

More glow-in-the-dark details!

This crop-top features an illustration by Todd James, aka REAS.

Another Todd James style.

Push the theater's boundaries by showing up in one of these badass string bikinis.

This mesh backpack is, in my eyes, the piece de resistance of the Opening Ceremony x Spring Breakers collection.

Popsicle earrings are a no-brainer.

Unless of course you consider how cool these dolla-dolla studs are going to look on you.

Party like it's 1989.
