Sextape (& Other Stories)
When: Feb. 28-March 10
Where: Street Theatre Company, 1933 Elm Hill Pike
Actor-author Nate Eppler and actor-director Chris Bosen created Playhouse Nashville out of a desire to encourage the efforts of playwrights working on scripts in development. After initially hosting a series of open readings at the Darkhorse Theater, the company has taken up residence at Street Theatre Company, where Eppler’s well-received full-length play Long Way Down was presented in May 2011.
Sextape (& Other Stories), the imaginative Eppler’s latest work, an anthology of seven adult comedies, receives its world premiere mounting. The short plays deal fancifully and honestly with couples, their relationships and communication (or lack thereof) and, of course, s-e-x. The strong cast features familiar and well-respected names in the Music City acting community: Jessejames Locorriere, Jennifer Richmond, Megan Murphy Chambers and Jack Chambers. The production includes implied — but not actual — nudity, and no one under 18 will be admitted.
