John Will Have to Die Two Weeks from Now

Posted By on Wed, Feb 6, 2013 at 3:05 PM

We'd heard people buzzing about John Dies at the End, the vigorously awaited new horror comedy by Phantasm/Bubba Ho-Tep director Don Coscarelli, even before The Belcourt announced last month that it was opening in February. It was supposed to open this weekend, but alas, John has met an ill fate temporarily at the hands of an outside source: Dave Grohl, whose documentary Sound City posted such blockbuster numbers over the weekend that it's being held over.

Not to worry: We hear The Belcourt has rescheduled John Dies at the End for opening Feb. 22. Sounds like a good day for John to die hard. And speaking of rescheduled, Grammy-winning producer and former Sound City engineer Nick Raskulinecz will do a Q&A after the 8:40 p.m. show Thursday (pushed back from last weekend).
