Vesna Pavlovic is kicking off Country Life's new recurring feature that tracks the songs artists are spinning while they work. Vesna's show, Real Images, opens this Saturday at Seed Space. Here's what Joe Nolan had to say about the exhibit in our Winter Arts Preview:
Vesna Pavlovic's work always points back at itself, and her winter show at Seed Space will reflect both the elemental subjects of photographic imagery as well as the equipment used to create it. Real Images consists of two slide projections screened on a semi-transparent white acrylic hemisphere. The hemisphere is an exaggeration of the camera lens that captures Pavlovic's images in the first place, while her pictures of stark light and shadows represent the basic stuff that all photographs are built from.
