It's Happening In Green Hills

Posted by on Tue, Nov 13, 2012 at 2:30 PM

Exciting things are happening in Green Hills, friends. Yes, we all hate driving there. Yes, it's a bunch of chain stores, and I know a lot of you hate chain stores, but people work there, too. At least I think they do. Some of them seem like barely functioning fembots, but they're still people.

Anyway, I would be lying if I said I didn't hit Anthropologie or Sephora when I'm in the area (DON'T JUDGE. I also go to locals like Pangaea or The Cosmetic Market. There's plenty of credit card debt to go around). And now that we have some great new places to eat like Alegria and The Perch (crepe addict over here), you can make a day out of shopping and not go hungry. Because crossing Hillsboro can take all day, you know.

So, it's Tuesday, and you probably don't have too much going on, and there will be far fewer people spending cabbage in 37215 tonight than a Saturday, so swing by the Hill Center and check out the new West Elm General Store & Community Market. This is a big deal; not every location got one of these, so obviously West Elm thinks we're special. And we are.

Since you're right around the corner, do some nightcap shopping at Tory Burch over at The Mall at Green Hills. This would be a great place to grab a holiday gift for your fancy older sister (that's what I'll be doing). From 6-8 tonight, 20 percent of all sales will be donated to the T.J. Martell Foundation. Oh, and there's champagne, which always makes shopping more fun. They recommend you RSVP but I doubt they'll turn you away at the door, unless you plan to run in, swing back a few glasses of champers and run out the door. And if you do that, I'll hunt you down. Not cool.

Happy shopping!
