Skater-turned-artist Nathan Brown posted this video of a segment that ran on MTV in 1995 — or so; there's a question mark in the video title — showcasing Music City's rail-shredders, ledge grinders and other kick-flipping skateboard youth of ill repute. Nice cameo by a representative of MNPD, telling the kids to stay out of trouble, and extra points for the riff-tastic '90s guitar tones all over everything.
Also: Brown was a sponsored skater for about a decade, but has since turned his energy to painting. Check out this interview in which he tells the story of painting Sarah Silva's piano.
