Over the past few weeks, 80-year-old Cecilia Giménez has gone from obscure non-artist/fresco ruiner to mainstream cultural zeitgeist. Observe the above skit from last weekend's SNL, the Beast Jesus tumblr page, and probably also your nightmares. Almost immediately after the story broke, people started responding to the potatoey Jesus face with an ironic appreciation.
