Studio Visit: Adrienne Outlaw, Part Two [Artist of the Month]

Posted By on Mon, Aug 13, 2012 at 1:30 PM

For this month's Artist of the Month feature, I've decided to do something a little different. I've worked closely with Adrienne Outlaw since I moved to Nashville, and I consider her a close friend. She's recently started digging into a new project that I'm not completely sure about, and I wanted to use the blog as an excuse to get up close with the work and share my ideas about Adrienne with Country Life readers.

Hers was one of the first studios I visited for my Studio Visit series (check it out!), but I wanted to check back in and see what her new additions are. My favorite discovery: The arms-akimbo stance of the mannequin matches the photo of the modern primitive man that's pinned on her bulletin board.

Look for more posts about Adrienne this month, including an in-depth talk about her new sugar-based work, and a post curated by Adrienne about her favorite inspirations. All that, plus her answers to our 10 questions.
