Gallery owners Andrea and Scott Zieher set up their first Nashville pop-up last year as a summertime experiment — Andrea has family ties in the South, and they'd been taking a holiday from their New York gallery, which, like many galleries, stays closed during August — and it was one of the most talked-about art events of the season. (Read here, here and here for background.) The work was great, the hospitality was fantastic, and even with its short lifespan the space was consistently packed.
They're returning to the ground floor of the ICON building (606 12th Ave. South), and from the looks of it, this year's pop-up may be even better than last year's — they've incorporated a panel discussion about discovering art outside of NYC galleries, and a night of artists' film screenings. More information about those events, and a list of the artists (with links to their website and images of selected work) after the jump.
