Untitled understands that throwing a good art party depends on three things: location, location, location. The right setting can make all the difference when it comes to viewing art and participating in all the extracurricular mingling we’ve come to expect from Untitled openings, and the group’s ability to put on an exhibition nearly anywhere is almost as inspiring as the opportunities they offer newbie artists.
Hot Mess: Untitled Nashville Summer Art Show will decorate the walls of the sprawling Welcome to 1979 — an analog recording studio in The Nations neighborhood. The guys at ’79 have hosted art events before, and they’ve been avid supporters of Nashville’s art scene since they started rolling tape at their old-school digs. In addition to the art on display, this summer fest will feature body painting, a mustache contest, a costume contest, DJs, live music, painted models, games and prizes. There will also be a photo booth for preserving all of those embarrassing memories forever.
