2012 International Black Film Festival Now Taking Submissions

Posted By on Fri, Apr 13, 2012 at 12:18 PM

Charles Burnett, Julie Dash and Bill Duke are among the filmmakers who've shown their work in recent years at the International Black Film Festival of Nashville. (Without the IBFF, Nashville wouldn't have gotten to see Burnett's 2007 epic Namibia: The Struggle for Liberation — although sadly, by "Nashville" I mean me and three other people.) The IBFF hasn't announced its dates for 2012 yet, but the festival has put out a call for entries: if you want to see it grow, submit a movie — or make one. Details below.
